50 bucks cheaper than buying from HPtuners website. No problems with the hardware.I found out Changing the File VIN will LOCK the license ($100 spent) to File VIN youve chosen. It looked like an editable parameter like TIRE SIZE. HPtuners DOES NOT make this obvious. But they instruct your VEHICLE VIN must match the ECU VIN. I have a V8 Swapped 99-06 chevy truck. So i overthought it & changed File VIN thinking it was REQUIRED. Nope.You rip the file off the ECU - that single 38kb file is what you pay for write access with. File has a specific serial# that SHOULD be all is needed to prevent piracy. Nope. FILE VIN must match ECU VIN. The VIN wizard must NOT be touchedI spent money on this company to HAVE ACCESS to tune a V6 ECU that is in a land fill somewhere out of state. This company eats its customers alive & i hope the free market guts it.Hope this helps someone

I purchased this product just hoping to delete the dod system. It not only did that, but the company has a ton of support and there are videos showing how to optimize your stock vehicle. I optimized mine to prioritize power delivery with throttle response & timing. My truck is running so much better and have alleviated stock issues. *my truck is at 260,000 miles and is running so much better than when I bought it in 2018.

I have a gen iii P59 LS pcm and this product and the app that go along with it have been extremely buggy. There is virtually no support from the hp tuners team when it comes to problem solving. If you email the team they either blame you or ask for a compilation of all the data you’ve ever created in your entire life. Save your money, get a VCX Nano and tune with tuner pro for free. PCM hammer is also far superior when flashing entire. PCM Hammer checks each sector and will retry until it succeeds whereas HP Tuners will try once and move on without any warning except in some hidden error log buried in the app (leaving you confused). In my opinion i wish i would have just bought a VCX Nano or paid to get it tuned (would be about the same price with more support and features and much less time wasted).
