It feels even more solid than it looks in the pictures. It's great at getting through soil, even heavy clay soil. I tried it in my near-frozen yard and it still worked, albeit a bit more effort than when it's completely thawed. The depth markers are clear and easy to read, and the mechanism makes releasing the soil back over your bulb really easy.

I cannot wait to use this in spring! I love the shovel mechanism that helps scope the soil out of the hole. This should make planting bulbs and other garden plants a breeze!

It’s super easy to use and make planting bulbs or even to replant my seedlings. Its overall convenient to have. The quality seems good since its been durable and sturdy.

This bulb planter has very sturdy prongs (also a bit sharp) and goes through clay soil so easily. It also has very convenient measuring guides for soil depth on each side (see the photo I attached to this review for reference). It's an all-around great tool to add to your gardening tool box.

I really like the way this bulb planting tool handles with its ergonomic handle and serrated teeth. It is easy to open and shut with the metal digging part firmly attached to the body, and a solid feel overall. Our ground is frozen so I am unable to test it at present, but compared to other bulb planters I have owned in the past, these one has the feel of a garden tool that is made to last.

I purchased this to plant potatoes. This makes the job a lot easier. Just stick it in the dirt, put the potato piece in the hole, and pull the release handle. It's that easy to plant potatoes, garlic, and onions. I think the price is right for what you get.
