Wow. This thing really scared me when I first turned it on. it has good volume control, but I tend to omit reading directions before I try things. Sudden loud ferocious barking dogs along with gunshots! There are many other sound selections, but that’s what I first heard. I use it in a hay barn and in another three sided farm Building that houses farm equipment and my car. Before I ordered this, I had trouble with my stock dog pursuing a squirrel hiding under the car hood. This was in the middle of the night so I didn’t hear theCommotion. The dogs did a lot of damage to the car. The squirrel would have done damage also once the dogs got bored with trying to get under the hood.So I put this alarm up and the dogs, squirrels, and raccoons have stayed away. It’s been a few months. I have used several motion detectors that flash lights and beep, but nothing like this.

This AWESOME gadget works!!! It’s solar AND chargeable, which is what I needed for the shady location in front of my house. It charges in a few hours and lasts a minimum of 4 days. I don’t wait for THIS gadget to die before I charge it! For 2 years, I had trouble with cats and coyotes coming around the property to do their business. I have spent A LOT of time, effort, and money trying natural remedies and sonic devices (all of which worked for 3-4 days), to solve this odorous, irritating, expensive, and time consuming problem. This new gadget engages with motion detection. It uses flashing red lights, realistic sounds of gun shots and barking dogs to detour animals. It works like a charm!!! I bought a second one for another location on the property. I have checked every day for weeks, and there is zero evidence of animal activity: SUCCESS!!!

It worked - we didn't see deer on the trail camera anymore. Then it stopped working after 2 months. Hopefully, the deer will remember that something was barking there and will not come back very soonUpdate: I got a refund from the company for the non-working alarm. Now I'm going to use the refund for the new one as this device is really effective. We had a lot of deer walking through our remote garden and nothing stopped them from eating everything we planted. But since we installed this alarm, our trail camera didn't record any deer! And even more: for the last two years, groundhogs have dug holes and tunnels between squash plants, probably looking for the shaded place. But no groundhog digging since the alarm was installed! Our trail camera still catches turkey. It looks like the turkey doesn't care for the sound. But we don't mind it as it doesn't cause any damage. I'm hoping the new alarm will be the same effective and will last longer.

We needed something to scare off bears from chomping down on our hot tub cover at our cabin in the mountains. We mounted this on a railing post nearby and in the bears’ path of travel. It seems to do the trick. Haven’t had any more damage. Scared me half to death when I set it off accidentally. So I know it works well. You can set the noise to different levels but the loudest is the most effective. It emits very loud sounds of gunshots and dogs barking. If you use this in a neighborhood, you should warn your neighbors. It is very realistic sounding. I am very pleased with the purchase.

I like this little device. It's not 130 dB as advertised but is still reasonably loud at measured 103 dB. The other issue is that you cannot arm the device without it going thru a fully triggered cycle before resetting itself. So, if you set it up somewhere, expect to create a lot of noise before it's considered armed. Overall, it is a worthwhile purchase and a lot of fun.

Purchased two individual units and both did not function as described...Both are faulty with the same issue...Both units were charged for more than 24 hours, by the USB charge connector, prior to first use...After disconnection from charger, and after activation, a red light displayed, which will likely drain the battery quicker...Each device was placed outside in direct sun and activated...After about an hour, with cloudless sky and calm winds, both devices randomly were set off, not at the same time and sporadically...I watched to verify there were no birds nor anything blowing to trigger the motion detector, and falsely set off the alarm...I turned both off and then turned on only one and the problem continued...This was repeated with the second device and still the issue continued for both...Fantastic concept, it did scare off two pigeons between instances of the device malfunctioning...However, it is to activate by motion and not randomly go off as both did repeatedly, without any pigeons in sight...These devices are garbage because they are set off by an error in the electronics and not by motion detection triggering...NOTE: The setting on the device or remote was not changed to the feature setting of every 5 minutes
