UPDATE: Failed after 1 month of use. Don't bother. When you buy this and follow the directions this heater will work fantastically. I bought the 150W, I have it in a 40 breeder aquascape with a large pre-filter right next to it. The suction of the filter pulls cool water past the heater, and pulls warmer water into the filter, and is then pushed around the tank. This will make the temperature more accurate for the entire tank, and extend the life of the heater, and prevent any damage. The trick here is to follow the directions.I bought it because it has two temperature sensors on it instead of one(this is the part that fails on most heaters), and I wanted to see if a smaller form-factor heater would work well in the 40B.I placed it in the tank before filling my tank, filled it slowly, waited a bit, turned on the heater, set the temp, and it's good to go. I tested it with a thermometer and its accurate within +-1 degree as stated.IF it can stand the test of time....I will recommend this to anyone. I'd like to take one apart to see how it functions, but if the temperature probes are set away from the heater, and they are not in charge of regulating voltage, this is the future. Glass tube heaters need to die off.

I love Hygger products & have bought several in the past couple of months. I bought 2 150 watt heaters & haven't had an issue with them, so I decided to get this one for my 75 gallon tank. You can see the temperature on the digital readout and I love that. Another wonderful Hygger product & I'll be buying more soon.

I've been using this heater in a 2.5 gallon aquarium with cherry shrimp. Set-up of the heat-to temperature and in the tank was easy. Suction cups held on the aquarium wall for a while, but not for long. The temperature was set at 73 deg F and this heater has maintained that as a minimum very well even in the winter months when ambient is as low as 60 deg F. The heater's display is in agreement with the probe thermometer. After about 10 months of use, part of the right LED digit has given out which makes that readout useless. Too bad. Almost perfect.——-Stopped heating after 14 months. Average life span. Better than some. Worse than others. Leaving at 4 stars.

I have this heater in a 700 gallon indoor pool pond for the winter time to keep my Koi fish in and this thing works great. I’ve never had another fish tank heater that worked as great as this one does and I’ve had a lot.

I have Hyger heaters in all my tanks. I keep them in the bottom of the sump so there's no chance of running out of the water. Like all heaters, never trust the auto shutoff. Don't care what brand it is. That's where most bad reviews come from. People that didn't listen

Never heated as well as lower watt heaters, failed after less than 60 days active use.I had this in a 13 gallon that never would get all the way up to 80f. Switched in a 50 watt fluval heater and never had a temp problem in that tank again.I left it unplugged In that tank for a month, moved it to a 10 gallon tank. Tried turning it on a couple days later and I have a flashing H1 temp sensor failure

So far has been working great. I am using it in a 15 gallon tank for my Betta. It has maintained a 77/78 F temp perfectly with no issues which I have checked against a digital and Mercury thermometer. Very easy to use and like that the control of temperature is outside of tank so don't have to reach in tank and disturb it.Now its just a matter of time to see how long it lasts.

Easily keeps my 180g tank warm in a cool basement, easy to use. Temp is offBy about 2 degrees, which is actually pretty good for a heater that can’t be calibrated. Now long term reliability is yet to be determined.
