Use this to make ice cream and it turned out great! It was easy to clean, store, and super easy to use. It took about 30 minutes to make soft serve ice cream which was faster than I expected! No leaks, minimal cleanup.Only recommendation I have is that a recipe booklet be included with the product.

The hardest part is waiting the 24 hrs for it to freeze to use. After the freeze mix your ingredients no extra junk set mixer up pour in and about 20 minutes enjoy.

After you freeze the product for 24 hours to get ready for making ice cream. You can easily make soft ice cream and about 20-30 minutes. The ice cream tasted so good that I couldn’t believe we made it ourselves. I ended up adding ingredients in at certain times to see the best. It seemed to make the perfect mixture when I added M&M’s and other toppings closer towards the end of the process. It’s very easy to clean and I would recommend for anyone who loves ice cream and being in the kitchen!

Make sure you freeze the bowl for 12-16 hours before use! Make sure you freeze the ice cream after you churn it! These are all in the instruction but I wanted to reiterate that this is not a quick process and takes takes me two days usually to make a loaf pan worth of ice cream. The bowl freezes as it should and works great on the KitchenAid mixer. I noticed some liquid drops in the plastic wrapping during unpacking but it hasn't leaked anything in the several times I've used it. Overall, I'd be happy to recommend this accessory to anyone looking to make ice cream at home.

This KitchenAid ice cream maker is made out of BPA-free food-grade materials. You need to use nonmetal spoons/spatulas when mixing or scraping the ice cream out of the food bowl. If you don’t, you run the risk of scratching the inner lining. This unit is super easy to use. The longest part involves freezing the food bowl for at least twenty-four hours. After that, you simply attach the parts to your mixer, add in the ingredients, and then mix for twenty to thirty minutes. Viola! You now have homemade ice cream. It truly is that easy to do.This two-quart food bowl is perfect for making Ice Cream, Yogurt, and Sorbet Gelato. I love how fresh everything tastes when you make it yourself. Once you’re finished with your delicious dessert, simply spoon it into waiting bowls or a storage container. Don’t leave your product in the mixing bowl to serve for long periods of time. There is no lid to protect the food contents, and the bowl will warm up over time, thus making it the incorrect temperature to store your yummy treats.A word of caution, this device will not fit properly on a 3.5QT KitchenAid machine. It needs to be either a 4.5QT or a 5QT mixer in order to run accordingly. You need to wash the food bowl by hand with warm, soapy water. If you genuinely want to, the mixing cage can be put into the dishwasher on the top rack only. To me, it’s just as easy to wash all of the pieces by hand.I like this device. It makes it incredibly easy to make homemade treats at the house and they taste magnificent. I would recommend this ice cream maker to anyone looking for an efficient way to make ice cream, sorbet gelato, or yogurt at home.
