Smooth iced tea. Wow! So easy. Yes, I use Lousianne Iced Tea bags. 3 - two cup tea bags on strong. It turned out perfect with 6 cups of water. Filled most of the way with ice. It’s great to have iced tea without having it watered down with more ice.I was a bit skeptical about whether or not it was tempered glass. Yes! It held up perfectly. It’s quite cute. Takes up a small footprint on my counter.We are quite happy with it.

The unit worked well, and made very good tea. HOWEVER, the pitcher is very fragile. As I was filling it with ice cubes, the ice cubes broke the pitcher. IF you buy this, manually place the first few layers of cubes before you pour the rest in. This lasted only 6 weeks!

I bought this tea maker to replace a different brand that had a problem with the descaling process. This one is a very sturdy machine, and it makes delicious iced tea, but I only give it three stars because of a couple of issues. First, the instruction manual tells you to add "the proper amount" of tea to the basket but doesn't tell you what that amount is. And when I emailed customer service to ask, they never replied. That makes me wonder if I'd ever hear from them if I have other problems. Fortunately, when I used the same amount of tea the older machine called for, it worked. The second issue is that when you're adding water, the window on the side of the machine is unreadable, and it took some trial and error to figure out how much water to use. If you can put up with these issues, it's a good machine, but you shouldn't have to put up with those issues.
