They are plastic but they fit well and are easy to install. VERY PLEASED WITH these AND WOULD RECOMMEND!! We put in granite counter tops and needed to extend the boxes. Worked perfectly!

I installed a cabinet in front an outlet. This box worked great and extended the outlet to the depth of the cabinet perfectly! This works well with outlets that have rear write access. Side access may be difficult since this box is slimmer than the box in the wall (which is necessary to fit well). I would recommend this!

I needed to extend an outlet box out about 3/4 inch and this was exactly what I needed. It easily slid into the box and is thin enough that the outlet cover still fit tight against the wall after screwing the outlet back in. Highly recommended.

The BE1-1 shown is UL Listed. the ones I received are not UL Listed. If you install these and your electrical system needs to be inspected, it will fail the inspection. Perfect example of false advertising. I saw another post that said they were not UL Listed. When I examined the picture, I saw the UL seal so I thought they may have corrected the product - WRONG. Any electrical product sold in the US must have some sort of seal of approval from an outside testing agency.
