Ive used several of these now and they have worked great. Not quite as low profile as other makes but thats just the nature of it. Yes its plastic but it does feel tough enough to last. I ended up using just the cover cause the metal box i had was already set in the slab. The cover is oversized so it allows quite a bit of play when trimming the box out.

For the price, can’t ask for more. Installation is great, template is a normal rectangle, easy multi tool or sawzall cut. Deep plastic box has knockouts everywhere which makes replacement plastic installations a breeze even with shorter existing wiring. Do these look as good as a metal cover? No. They looks fine though and have a solid feel. Will be using again and recommending to customers interested in quality side of budget.

Set down well to the floor and gave room for error on the cutout. However, the material feels cheaper than other ones I’ve used (likely to snap on the receptacle covers if kicked).

The install was very easy. It had all of the parts you need to get the job done. The box is also roomy enough that you have enough space / don’t feel cramped. Definitely going to get these again. Since it is recessed I might recommend a short extension chord but really that’s it.

They work ok. But I thought they were metal not plastic. The plastic outlet covers are easy to break it get stuck. I wish it was a little bit durable for being on the floor. And it said on top off the floor higher than expected. I really wanted something more flush.

I finally did get it installed, but it was difficult. The box is fine. The cover plate has holes for the outlet faces. However, the outlet does not fit inside these holes, it only abuts them, making the outlet recessed by nearly 1/4". This means anything with a larger plug will not be able to be plugged in. The tamper-proof feature is very rigid, one has to exert a lot of force to insert a plug, causing the outlet screw tabs at the top and bottom to flex and the outlet to actually move. Also, instead of the outlet being attached by screws top and bottom, then the cover plate by the centre hole into the outlet, both the cover plate and outlet must be scarewed in at the same time using the same screws such that you CANNOT SEE where the holes are you are trying to fit the screws into: they are recessed in the box, under the outlet tabs and cover plate. After wrestling with it and finally getting it screwed in, I thought that putting a toothpick into the holes, then threading both items onto the toothpick, holding it tightly in place, and replacing the toothpick with a screw would have made it easier. However, one, shouldn't have to resort to such 'work-arounds': the item is simply poorly designed. I would not recommend it.

Flimsy plastic, machine screws not long enough. Made it work, but can’t see it lasting in the centre of the room. Not worth the money paid.
