I'll give 5 stars for the IR 311 DA sander and 4 for this. It was pretty simple to change, look the shaft and in screw the old one, thread the new one on and undo the lock. The first one lasted close to 17 years, but was pretty ragged by now. I took a star off because for some radon the stick on discs are leaving quite a bit of their glue and even some of the paper backing on the pad. I've been using the same brand of discs for a long time and they always pealed of clean on the old disc yet this new one they seem to stick to good
