We used this kit for my daughters science faire project. It was a hit! She was able to learn and watch each and every stage of development and release them once they were done. Perfect hands on kit that gives them so much education they can observe beyond the tv. #homeschooling #Sciencefairproject #elementaryschool#classroomproject

The first time I ordered the Ladybug larvae most lived and were released. This time most were dead upon arrival. Two were moving when I put them in the “ladybug house†but quickly died. My 2 year old granddaughter was very disappointed.

I got this for my grandsons 6th birthday and couldn’t have been more pleased! He had so much fun watching and taking care of the ladybug larvae and watching them and letting them go when ready. I would highly recommend and also buy it again!

The toy figures were a perfect addition to this! Yes, you do need to send out for the ladybugs and they come in a tube. So easy to complete the project. Just be sure you keep it in a place it won't get bumped - oh my! the ladybugs we couldn't find in the long carpet where it was bumped off the table have taken over my living room. LOL! My daughter loves this project and I'm just glad it wasn't spiders that spilled out! Thank you for making a fun and easy project.

The larvae all arrived alive, and we had no issues getting them all to complete the cycle into lady beetles. But if you are expecting the traditional, big round, cute, 7 spotted Ladybugs you see on the pictures and that is represented in the figures of the life cycle...that is not what they are. They hatch into Pink Spotted Lady Beetles. ...which are tiny, dull and sort of creepy looking honestly. Yes if you click to expand the details at the bottom, i do see it says that...but im sure many people like us read the general description section and see the pictures, and might be a bit disappointed at the result. It was still interesting to see the life cycle tho.

We raised these in a classroom and they did great! We ended up with 11 ladybugs. My students loved watching them molt several times before they turned into pupas and then ladybugs. Would definitely recommend these to teachers or home school families.

I carefully poured the tube of larvae into the Ladybug Land after following the directions to prepare it for the new tenants. The next day, I could only find 2 ladybug larva moving about. The company said they sent 13 bugs, with an average of 5-7 that will live. My 2 ladybugs cost me $10.00 each. I immediately emailed the company to see if they could send a few more, or give me a meaningful discount. They have not responded, nearly a week later. My advice is to buy ladybugs from a different source. These guys got my $20, so why should they be ethical business people now?
