I bought this for my 5 year old grandson, who just moved to a farm with the family. I wanted to get a birthday gift that would encourage him to explore and enjoy his new surroundings. My kids have wanted this thing for years. Finally caved and purchased. The vacuum action stopped working the first day. Some wire got disconnected inside. My husband had to take apart and fix it. It’s working now. The kids like it when they can use it. Need to be careful not to suck in dirt.

When I finally got around to keep a pet jumping spider I finally ordered one of these. I know it's a 'toy', but it's pretty useful for catching those flies that laze around my window screen. I suck up about 3 or 4, then plop the container into the freezer for a few minutes to put the flies to sleep and then drop them all into my spider's enclosure! Free food! It's also cool for gathering up those scarier bugs that I really don't want to mess with (the occasional desert scorpion) and bring them back outside. Love this thing!

La compre para sacar animalitos que caen de los jardines de los vecinos para mi lado. La pistola me ha servido para sacar arañas, polillas y pequeños lagartos, no la recomendaria para mariposas porque seria dificil sacarlas del tubo.

It sucks up bugs and allows the kids to see them up close. My 7 year old used to scream anytime a bug was spotted, but now excitedly runs for this and gets the bug. Both kids enjoy seeing the bugs up close, and then they let them go outside. It works as expected.
