This purchase was made to replace an existing similar unit that lasted approximately 5 years (pretty good given heavy use). Original unit started leaking from the bottom which implied it was corroding…kiss of death. Once you shut off the breaker from main power source you can disconnect your existing unit in about 10 minutes. This new unit literally will 1/4 turn into your existing mount. Connect the wires, mount the unit, reconnect to drain, flip the breaker back on and you’re back in business. It comes with everything you need for a new install but I was lucky enough to have an existing unit so I didn’t need to fuss with all the sink/drain attachments.

It is great but should come with the cord, which we had to order seperately. Same model we were replacing, but the cord connection had changed. Annoying to say the least.

Easy to install!! Just make sure you follow the instructions especially if you have a dishwasher hose attached. You need to remove the knock out inside the male hose connection before attaching the dishwasher hose!!

First of all, it came without cord. It’s the only disposal maker sells it without a cord. Galvanized components not stainless steel like it should. Galvanized does not prevent rust it only delays it. I bought this one did not even try to install it. Cheaply made. Returned it the same day. Replaced it with American standard 1-1/4 hp with cord all stainless steel components and $40 less. Stay away from this junk.

Very complicated to install it. All the required cable and on/off switch which is essential to install were not provided
