It was a fairly quick & easy install (for the plumber). It works great and is quiet as compared to previous disposals we had.So far, a really good decision to buy.

I was very happy with the ease of ordering, prompt delivery, and the installation process. My only problem was getting the old disposal out because of rust. Just needed patience. New disposal runs quietly. (I am a 72 year old woman!)

I replaced my 15 year old Badger 7 with this model yesterday. I’m a female in my 50’s and installed the new disposal myself. The instructions are very clear and it was easy to swap out the old model for the new one. The dimensions were the same, so the existing pipes all worked as before.The old model failed because the plastic housing cracked, but this was after 15 + years of reliable use. I used Gorilla tape to seal the leak until I could get the new model installed. The trickiest part of the installation was sliding the new unit into the mount. I used a paint can to partially support the weight of the unit while I rotated and secured the collar.I’m glad I ordered the unit with the electrical cord. It’s totally worth the extra few dollars to buy the unit with the cord attached - it just simplifies the process and you might as well have a new power cord if you’re installing a new unit.This new disposal is quieter and much more efficient than the old one. Ladies, go for it. You can install this yourself with a little patience.

Es muy potente, tiene bastante fuerza; me sorprendió la potencia para triturar huesos. La verdad al principio tuve mis dudas al respecto, ya que fÃsicamente es más pequeño que el triturador que tenia antes, el cual era de menor potencia.La instalación es muy fácil si el área esta preparada, en 30 o 40 minutos está montado y funcionando.Por el contrario si se requiere preparar el área, como fue mi caso ya que el triturador anterior estaba oxidado de la parte de la tarja y eso genero residuos que debÃan ser limpiados, el tiempo de instalación aumenta considerablemente, a mà me tomo 2 horas aproximadamente el proceso. Tal vez de la instalación la parte más difÃcil es apretar la canasta y contra-canasta. Asà como el cargar el triturador para montarlo en su lugar. Con un poco de mañana se puede hacer más fácil.En cuanto al ruido, no es silencioso totalmente, puedes notar que está prendido aun en otra habitación, pero no es un ruido molesto ni estridente.
