So I went from 2 wood Shelves in my small closet to this 8U Rack. Some of the things I liked about it.#1. The Size. Measuring how big of a Wall Rack I could install. I was going to install a 4U Rack, In fact, I still have it, but then I took a second look and remeasured to go down lower by removing the lowest wood shelf and going a little higher. I have a limit on top with the power outlet on top and the coat hanger on the bottom. With the measurement, saw that I could fit an 8U unit in this space.#2. The depth is adjustable. If you don't need it very deep you can have it that way, but if you want more room you can increase the depth to 13.5" In fact, this is one of the biggest Depth for a 8U or smaller unit around. Most are around 10+.#3. I like the 4 separate Hinges. You have them on the left or right side. Mount one way or the other. I have them on the left. It made mounting the bottom Patch panel for me easier. I have one side mounted and could swing it out enough to mount the keystones and wire tie the cables into place much easier. I'm in a small closet and so there is not a lot of room to work in there!!!#4. The Nice large opening in the back comes in handy to run your wires through. My problem was having a 2x4 almost in the middle of this opening. That is generally not normal. So I had to make the opening a little larger on the left side to fit all my cables. It's also mounted onto 3/4" Birch Plywood which I painted to match the rest of the paint in the closet. It's only bolted down in the middle into that 2x4 with 4 bolts. It's solid!!! The Rack is bolted to that with 6 smaller bolts. The nice thing was I could pick up a smaller piece of the Birch Plywood, not a full sheet. Cut out the size I needed. Then I routed all the edges. You can see the Finished Results. Well, I have 1 minor thing to do in the future here. I also plan to install IP POE camera's in the future. You can see how it currently looks, to more than halfway done to getting ready to start. I also went from a 24 port Zyxel Managed Switch to a 48 Port Zyxel Managed Switch. One reason I went with them is their switches are not deep like so many others. In this case, this one is just under 8" deep. So if you have a 10" deep Rack, you can still fit a 48 port switch if you want!!!.Going from top to Bottom, Upgraded ReadyNas 516. I basically turned it into a 716. Plus a Free T-Moble ASUS Router. Sitting on top of a AC Infinity Vented Cantilever 1U Universal Rack Shelf. There are 2 of them and they are 10.5" Deep. I then a NavePoint 1U Blank Rack Mount Panel Spacer With Venting. The Second Shelf has a Cable Modem, HD Homerun connected to an Antenna, and next to that a Tivo Stream. Under that, 2 Cable Matters Rack or Wall Mount 24-Port Cat6 /Cat 6 Keystone Patch Panel (Blank Patch Panel). Installed into those I'm using Cable Matters Cat6 RJ45 Keystone Jack in Black. Aldo some Blank Plug for Networx Wall Plate - Black, and MOERISICAL EM1 EM1ZT-10P CAT6 Keystone Jack, Straight Unshielded. GearIT Cat6 1 foot cables. Then there's a Zyxel GS1900-48 Port Switch, and a CyberPower OR700 UPS.Shelfhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C9KYUG8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=11U vented Blankhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BTRD3PW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Cat6 Cableshttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XIFLKR6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Blank Plughttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0054RS36M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Keystone Jack, Straighthttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H521KA4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1Keystone Jack in Blackhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IO3HGUM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=124-Port Cat6 /Cat 6 Keystone Patch Panehttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0072JVT02/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=148 Port Gigabit Switchhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N4W9PS4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Cypperpower 700VA UPShttps://www.amazon.com/CyberPower-OR700LCDRM1U-System-Outlets-Rackmount/dp/B000XJLLKG/ref=pd_sim_23_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B000XJLLKG&pd_rd_r=b634b6a7-c840-11e8-9c40-258f68d376cf&pd_rd_w=UQYZI&pd_rd_wg=Zw8uF&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=18bb0b78-4200-49b9-ac91-f141d61a1780&pf_rd_r=GX1BD75DH1APAFKF0ED8&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&refRID=GX1BD75DH1APAFKF0ED8&th=1

Mounted a 24-port patch panel to this. Yes, it is taller than I needed, but as the network grows or changes, other equipment can be mounted in the bracket or cabling changes can be made to the main wiring wall. Construction is good, though not particularly heavy. Mine arrived with a small bend in one arm. It was simple enough to use a table and my hands to straighten the arm, and once mounted on the wall with appropriate screws, it was more than rigid enough for patch panels or lighter, smaller switches. I doubt I would trust anything heavier to it (like server units or UPS modules) but for what it is, it is a very good deal on a fully-serviceable device.

Great rack for the price. While the metal isn't the thickest I've seen, it was perfectly fine for my purposes. Adequate mounting hardware was included too, if I recall correctly. Not a whole lot of praises can be sung for a simple item such as this, so that's about the end of the review.Works great, and will definitely purchase this again when the need arises.

This is my first wall-mount installation, and so I have nothing to which to compare this product. But from my perspective this wall mount is sturdy and strong, which is what one would want from something carrying potentially expensive equipment. So far I have a 24-port Ethernet patch panel and a 24-port switch attached to it, and those feel very sturdy and stable. It does not come with mounting screws, but I was actually glad to be able to pick my own for my situation. If I were to need another one I would definitely buy this again.

I am using this to mount a patch panel in my closet. It does the job just well enough, but it's a little flimsy. I feel it's worth the price as it is relatively inexpensive compared to other options I was looking at and I just needed a simple mount for a 1U patch panel. If you need an inexpensive solution this met my needs well and I recommend it for the price.

I purchased a different brand/model, and got to the point where it wouldn't support multiple patch panels because of the depth. I audibled, swapped it out for this one, and it was a good decision. This one is much more sturdy, with turned edges all the way around to prevent undesired flexing. As a result, they were able to make the wire feed hole bigger than my other mount. The slide out sides is great, giving you extra room to sort and router cables, with the option to tighten it back up against the wall when you are done as much as your cables will allow. I wish I would have bought this model first.
