All I can say is WOW. I work at a large veterinary teaching hospital and was introduced to Paw Friction from a coworker who is a certified rehab veterinary technician. My 12 year old Rottweiler has been having increasingly more issues since we moved into our new house almost two years ago. It's the first house with almost all hardwood floors (only two rooms have carpet.) When she was standing, her back feet would literally slide out from under her and she was starting to slip and slide all over the place. I wanted to do something for her but was very unsure about dog boots (Would she even wear them? Would it cause dermatological issues from being closed off from air flow? Would she tolerate the sticky adhesive pads?) After discussing it with my coworker, she did a trial application for me and a week later, I bought my own package off Amazon. It gave her IMMEDIATE stability on smooth surfaces and she is even confident enough to trot on the hardwood in the house. Her first application lasted just over a week, through multiple walks and even a snow day in Georgia where she ran and played outside. I just did her second application tonight and put it on my other dog who is an 11.5 year old large breed mix. She has a lot of fur on her feet plus a previous injury that causes her paw pads to strike the ground incorrectly. She can't sit without her front feet sliding out in front of her. She just sat down and was able to stay seated! I will definitely be keeping this on hand for the rest of their lives. It is extremely easy to apply and I only almost glued my fingers to their paws twice. They don't even seem to notice it is on their paws Once I get the hang of it, I'm sure I'll be able to apply it quickly and efficiently with no problems. And if you are careful and conservative, you'll probably even get more applications that the box says. I DEFINITELY recommend this for anyone with a dog that has any sort of mobility issues on smooth surfaces.**EDIT: I am a veterinary assistant but not affiliated with the company in any way, shape, or form. I see lots of patients with the same issues and the immediate results are astounding. Yes, you need to be able to manipulate your dog's paws but if one person helps keep the dog standing and the other does the application, it shouldn't be difficult. Also, start with a smaller amount in the center of the pad and apply more if needed. I could easily see where m girls' pads were slick and applied it just to those areas. A very thin layer of glue works best.**

Update:It’s even worse than I initially thought. I did manage to get most of her pads evenly covered with the sand, but within 24 hours, her pads were completely smooth again. It wasn’t from her chewing it off. It wasn’t from her being so active it wore off. It was from her walking in our house and then to the back yard to relieve herself. A wobbly, elderly 13 year old dog. Don’t waste your money. This product is a grift.Original review:If you have a large dog with big paws you’ll need more than the three drops of glue they include with the kit. It’s obviously superglue, so I suppose you can buy your own. It’s comes with four tubes but literally just a drop or two in each tiny vial.If you have a senior dog, or a dog with mobility issues (and it’s probably why you are ordering it —same here), don’t even bother trying to apply this while they stand. My husband tried holding up our old girl while I applied to one paw at a time. So now the little bit of sand they give you is all over our floor because she would kick and pull her leg away, would sink into the floor and lean over almost falling. I don’t know how this can be applied while she lays down either because the sand is loose and tipping the container to press into her paw as it is sideways would obviously not work.We did manage to get a little stuck to her pads, but it’s sparse at best. Will report back on if it works and if it does, how long it lasts before we would need to reapply it. But the sand is all over the floor and the three drops of superglue that were in the four minuscule tubes is gone.

My aging dog has trouble with back paw stability, so I was willing to try this product. Firstly, regarding what you get, the item is remarkably overpriced. The packaging claims 8-16+ applications. What comes in the package is 4 single-use glue dropper ampules, similar to what you'd get with a box of DIY false nails. They are difficult and messy to use. Also in the package is a small bag of rubberized granules, and a tray to hold the granules for application. What this product needs is the addition of a small tool to trim fur between paw pads (a blunt-nosed scissor) and a larger bottle of thickened cyanoacrylate glue with a brush applicator. I also found the rubberized granules need to be in a try with a lid, rather than having to pour it carefully back into the baggie between uses. (So messy!)I used my own glue to apply the granules to my dog's back paws while he was sleeping. I got his legs dangling off the side of a bed to make it easier and so there was less spillage. I brushed the glue on one paw, dipped in the granules, tapped off the excess, set the paw to cure, then completed the second paw.His stability on smooth floors is improved, though I could see the granules began to naturally fall off after just a couple of days. His stability is worth the effort of reapplying, so that is fine. His paw pads are still free to move independently, rather than being held in place by another option, a paw friction sticker. This product would be worth the price if the maker would make the improvements suggested, otherwise, another maker should take the opportunity to improve on it.

Our elderly dog was having problems sliding on the wooden floors inside the house. PawFriction enables him to walk without sliding. Each application is good for 5 to 7 days depending on how much walking he does outside where it tends to rub off.

Your product has helped my 14 yr old weimaraner immensely. When your product wears off she starts walking very very slowly and becomes nervous of floors again. When she has Pawfriction on, she walks with confidence again. It is very noticeable. I find that each application last about 5-7 days there is enough grainulars in the package for about 6 total applications. I do find that I run out of the glue before I run out of the blue grainulars.Thank you for making a great product.

I have an elderly small breed dog. The granules doesn’t really stick, and 80-90% falls off in 48hrs. The glue I received is expired, maybe that’s the reason? Won’t be trying this again, not worth the money.

Great idea but unfortunately too expensive as it doesn’t stay effective more than a few days. One pack only lasted a couple of weeks of effective use.
