This does seem very well-made. The pieces of this tool are heavy, well-machines, and fit and operate nicely. I can think of no complaints. Do expect to receive a heavy bit of kit, as you should want for something that compresses strut springs. Thus far I've used this on my 2000 Lexus GS300 and my 2003 Lexus SC430. I consider this well worth the price.

Well packaged! Very robust beast of a tool! I’m sure it will compress most vehicle springs, You can even offset if you need a little bit more access room with the spacer and for more Conical Springs Not sure what people are talking about the smell, but it’s just shipping lubricant to protect from corrosion! Who cares just get the job done!

I have used several different types of spring compressors and this design is by far the best and easiest to use. BTW, the kit I received had none of the funky smell others have complained about. Vey satisfied with my purchase.

This is a high quality tool. If you are changing front springs with the strut off of the vehicle this tool is easy and safe to use. For rear springs on the back of my car was too bulky to be of use.

A little cumbersome and heavy but what can you expect with a spring compressor. Works well though so far

Automotive shop owner - I needed an inexpensive tool to do an older Toyota van. I own 4 different typed of spring tools. The Moog equivalent is close to $2k (obviously a professional product) That said it worked well for the job. Looks like it will cover other applications. Next to try it on is Audi / BMw rear coils which are always a pain without the higher end tools. For occasional use it is recommended. Use carefully people.
