Meet SUSTEE
SUSTEE is a modern, Japanese soil moisture sensor. The blue color indicates that there is enough water in the soil, and the while color indicate that plant is in need of watering. SUSTEE features a minimal aesthetic that doesn't take away from the beauty of your plants.

Color
Has your SUSTEE turned white? That means it is time to water! After watering, the white insert will change to a blue color. This indicates that there is enough water in the soil.
Soil
SUSTEE can be used with almost all plants that grow in soils with a certain level of moisture retention. This includes akadama soil, black earth, bark, coco peat, peat moss and vermiculite.
Insertion Depth
When inserting SUSTEE, please ensure that the Ω mark found on the stick is entirely covered. Please also make sure that the transpiration opening is visible if the stick is needing to go deeper.
Time
The time it takes to change color will depend on the amount of water given and the water retention level. When using SUSTEE for the first time, please water generously. The small stick takes approximately 3 minutes, the medium 15 minutes, and the large 25 minutes.

I wasn't sure I would like these or trust them but they are a game changer for my plants. Follow the directions on how to start and properly use and place them and they work SO good. I have been using on some tropical plants in my house now for about 3-4 months and they are all doing great. It's nice to have a visual confirmation of what's going on down deeper in the pot moisture wise. These come in several different sizes so be sure you are getting the right size for the pots depth you are wanting to put them in. I actually just ordered 2 more packs so more of my plants have this in them.

Well now I know why my plants were not doing so well. This senses water quite well and it is a perfect visual cue that I need to add water to my plants. My plants are thriving once again!

They worked well for the first week or so and after that they stayed blue as if the plants had been over watered. When I double checked I realized it was very wrong and have since tossed all of them.

I purchased this product with a couple other brands. Even when the other brands indicate that the soil is moist, this model never changes color to indicate there’s enough water in the plant?

So glad to see the indicator and not have the brown or yellow tops anymore. Who new giving the right amount at the right time will make plants thrive. Hmm. I was a once a week waterer ( when I remembered) now my grandchildren help remind me which plant needs water. They love checking on their visits and I love the color change assistance to help me. Excellent product for any plant lover and for those that could not keep a plant alive ( this is a plant saver).
