This replaced the same model and brand that I have had for several years. It works great. My son installed it for me, and he had no problems installing it. I have one question and it's about the key. Each time I open the door I have to use the key. When I remove the key the door locks. I'd like to be able to open the door and leave it open without using the key. Is this possible?

My first timer lasted about 25 to 26 years. Serve to be well. This one is an exact duplicate, and was mostly plug and play. It was certainly a PIA to install with all the wires, but everything lined up the way it should. My only gripe about this model is that it does not come as a smart timer. I actually did buy a smart timer, but the lineup was exactly the opposite, so I had to return it.

Originally used an identical system for over 15 years with NO problems. Very easy to use and program. Recently purchased another system for another home and installation went great. I especially like how easily the wires connect to the unit with screws (unlike some competitor's units that use a more difficult wire attachment system. I was not sure if the system included a low volt transformer (it does) so I called the factory number and was connected right away. If using the outdoor hard-wired system you will have to go to the hardware store and get a small junction box to hold the wire connectors. Dependability is one of the most important features for me in electronics and the Irritrol has my trust.

Received the controller, installed, then the electrical shorted out after 6 weeks. Seller will not replace or refund - this is bought and resold defective garbage.

They do as advertised in every respect. Plus the water well -recovery feature- is a must have if you are on a private well.
