I rarley post amazon reviews unless the product is simply amazing. I used this die to fix damaged threads on impossible to find rear axle for mazdaspeed 6. The die was sharp enough that i was able to fix most threads spinning it by hand . I did have to use a 1 5/8 socket and quality cutting fluid to gently help spin the die to cut through the more damaged area. This is a sturdy and quality piece that I HIGHLY recommend. I hope this review was helpful.

Stripped the axle nut and destroyed the threads on the axle. Was not looking forward to replacing the axle. !0 minutes and it was like new.

Somehow I mucked up the threads on the oil filter stud on my 2012 Ram 1500. This little device cleaned up threads saving me from a tow and whatever fees a garage would have charged to repair my truck. Yeehaw!

Very fast shipping, overnight, extremely impressed, I would have been without a vehicle for days if it wasn’t for this purchase. Had to buy a 3/4 x 1 5/8†socket ($20 Cdn at Princess Auto) to run the die as I didn’t have the proper die handle. Already had the 3/4†to 1/2†adapter and 1/2†T-handle. Carefully chased the damaged threads with lots of cutting oil to aid cutting and lower the possibility of damage to the die. Successful repair, thanx Irwin HANSON & Amazon for getting me “out of a pickleâ€.

I bought this to clean the threads on some wheel studs on a project truck I’m working on. Cleaned and chased the threads great. I would recommend this product.
