- IMPORTANT: this is an OPEN FLOW air chuck and must be used with an inline tire inflation gauge; can NOT be used directly on the end of air compressor line.
Important Notice About "Open Flow" Air Chucks
Open flow air chucks allow air to flow freely through the chuck, even when not engaged to the tire valve stem. Open flow air chucks can NOT be connected directly to the end of an air hose without first attaching to an inline tire inflator gauge. If you connect an open flow chuck directly to the end of airline without an inline tire inflator gauge, air will flow straight out and empty your compressor's air tank. This air chuck must first connect to a compatible tire inflation tool that supports 1/4" NPT threaded attachments, such as our FlowPro Tire Inflator Gauge series or similar tools that can open and close air flow from your compressor.
The thread specification of this chuck is female 1/4 inch NPT.

I used the air chuck once on a track day to adjust the tire pressure. It was well made and easy to use by sliding the air chuck over the valve stem. It held onto the valve stem well without leaks. It was released by pressing on the side liver. It worked as instructed.

Used this to upgrade the inconvenient screw on style chuck that came on my Smittybilt offroad 12v compressor. Huge improvement! Had to also order a 1/4 npt barbed fitting for the hose, however that may not be necessary for everyone if you've already got a 1/4 fitting to attach to. This open flow chuck allows me to turn the compressor on and leave it running while I check air pressure with a guage since most 12v portable compressor don't have a pressure switch to shut them off when pressure builds. If the psi in the tire isn't quite there, just push the chuck back on the valve stem and keep filling. With this chuck you just push it on to the valve stem and it locks on automatically, no need to press the button and hope it locks on tight enough. The only time you need to touch the botton on the chuck is to release it. Its very easy to press on with zero air leak. Solid feel, and has some weight to it. They have a bigger model that might have been even nicer for a few bucks more.

I love how easy it is to pop them on and off! It is 100x easier to use than all the other lever and screw types on my pumps.One negative was that sometimes the valve would be little leaky when attached and you would have to wiggle it to get a good seal. It doesn't stop it from working, though you just want it attached when actually working. So a little fiddly, but it is so easy to connect and disconnect -- totally worth it!I was able to mount one on a schrader valve (with a 1/4 NPT connection), and then I can insert it into my bike pumps, or DeWalt inflator, etc.

Overall I think this is a good tool. I only had one complaint. The vendor(Jaco) did not warn me that the tool may leak air(have improper seal) depending on what air tool it is paired with. I paired my Jaco tool with the Foval Digital Tire Inflator With Pressure Gauge(Which is available on Amazon.com). Upon attaching the Jaco tool to the tire inflator and attaching it to my vehicle tire valve stem it immediately started to leak air. At first I could not figure out why it leaked air??? Especially since Jaco advertised their tool as having an air tight seal when attached to the tire valve stem???? Upon inspection I noticed that the air was leaking from the threads area where the Jaco tool attached to my inflator tool. To fix the issue I had to install a rubber "O" ring inside the Jaco tool and apply P.T.F.E. Thread Seal Tape around the threads on my inflator tool. !!!Then I got the leak proof seal that Jaco advertises!!!I wish I had known that I might need extra rubber "O" rings and Thread Seal Tape when I purchased the Jaco tool; I would have purchased them at the same time on Amazon.com as when I purchased the Jaco Tool. Maybe Amazon or Jaco should indicate this issue in their online add???? Or at least add it to the Amazon commonly purchased together list; to give the buyer a hint that these extra items may be needed to achieve proper installation. Amazon sells both of these extra items on their website separately. At Jaco's current list price on Amazon; maybe Jaco should include these extra items with the purchase of their tool for free???In any case, I am pleased with the tool so far and I have no more air leaks when using the tool.

I added to the end of the hose on a battery operated inflator. The inflator comes standard with a brass threaded end to attach to the tire schrader valve. It works, but it's slow. Much more convenient to simply clip the hose on with this air chuck. It does require the use of a 1/4" male NPT to schrader adapter in the middle...
