The elastic band has a huge crumple part which isn't very comfortable with a welding mask on. I use them but honestly I'd go to a welding store and try some on next time

Anyone has ever welded will tell you one of the most important things is your PPE personal protective equipment this is part of that it ought to be the attachment to your hood the hood that goes over your face to protect your eyes and your head from sparks that cause burns. Just like you need a good pair of gloves and if you’re smart, you’ll buy the asbestos cover the shield that goes over your gloves to prolong the life of those specially, with Biden’s country he’s made everything 2 to 3 times more expensive than it was before him

The description says that they were one size fits all heads and they were extremely big for a bigger than average head. The quality was cheap. I ended up needing to return them.

they are not the same. The blue has a large weave liner, & the black has a smaller weave liner which looks to be of a higher quality.The shells look to be the same & are a heavy enough cotton to protect, but not be too hot.The jury is out on the impact of the different liners re: temp, durability, etc.The seller should state these are two different caps for the blue/black combo, the blk/grey combo & for the patterned set.*** Jury came back quick *** The blue is definitely hotter, though I have only wore the black version once. The elastic is too tight, or the size is too small; If elastic is stitched for entire length, cutting a few stifches at a time will 'adjust' tightness.Also, both caps are very deep. When also needing to wear ear muffs or anything w/ top strap, have to pull cap uncomfortably over ears to prevent excess material on top from interfering w/ top strap. Then material over ears interferes w/ ear protection. Damned if you do, damned if you don't situation, for sure.If I could deduct a star, I would.Cheap caps, but be ready to work on them to improve their worth.

You need a fitted cap. The elastic back ain’t comfortable. The hood doesn’t fit right. When you weld for hours, you’ll know in 5 minutes. I figured I’d give em a try. Maybe it’s just me.
