I experimented with one of those mail order mattresses and it sagged pretty quick. I started getting back pain so bad, I asked for an MRI. After ONE night, this mat made my back about 95% pain free, which is crazy good, and I’m not even exagerating. Couldn’t bend down to touch my toes even and now I’m doing things all over the place with no problem. i’m so relieved. I put it on top of my mattress like a topper, put sheets over it. Stays cool and continues to give me good sleep. It’s firm with some cushioning, which I like, I don’t like a lot of “sinkingâ€. Hope this review helps you if you’re thinking about it for back pain.

We couldn't use our bed anymore. We had switched our bed two times now and so we had to think outside the box. We brought this futon and it has worked out for us-- we no longer have back pains. It's been several months and we've been able to sleep well-- it's easy to fold up and put away, and it wasn't that expensive compared to buying another bed.

Very comfortable tatami. The mattress is thick yet firm. The cover does have a zipper but I do not believe it is meant to be taken off. The tatami came vaccum sealed and in a bag carrier, however, once fully fluffed out it does not fit back in the bag. Would be really nice it could fit back in the carrying bag. It does come with two straps that you can use to to keep the mat closed to stow away. Overall it's very nice and the color sage is pretty.

For 2 big people and a toddler this is great. Once we opened the package and put it on the floor, we all took a nap on it. Its soft, comfortable, but just a little hard to fold by myself cause its kinda heavy. But it has the right thickness! Highly recommend

Since I unpacked this it has been one of the best purchases I’ve made from Amazon. I’ve used it to sleep on, hang out with my dogs, build furniture on. It’s really versatile and easy to move around. The packaging however tore apart trying to get the mattress out of the bag (due to the plastic window)

This is a wonderful product that I recommend over a traditional bed for your MAIN sleeping arrangement. Not only do you save space, but it straightened my back in two nights. Make sure to do as they say and let the thing poof up over the course of a couple of days.WARNING: a normal full sized fitted sheet (or even a queen sized one) will NOT work for this. I've found that a normal full sized sheet works perfectly, however.
