I wanted something cute, detailed, and professional looking and this fit the bill to a T. I have been asked by other notaries where I got it from because they wanted one as well. It enables privacy because you have to open the magnetic strip before even getting to the page, which the normal notary books just looks like a thick notebook. Honestly I'm a ball point pen kinda girl as well so the ink does not bleed through which I love because I do color code.

I am super particular about journals. I'm a perfectionist and that weird hyper-organized person weirdo that enjoys making labels. I looked at many dozens of journals on all ranges of prices. I like none of the ones on the typical notary websites, and they're generally overpriced IMO, but at least high quality. I looked at sooo many notary journals and finally was set for one that ticked most of my boxes. At the last moment, amazon recommended this one.I haven't seen any quite like it. The magnetic flap is unique, stylish, and the most ideal solution for privacy. The price was fantastic. The quality is even better in person. I had high expectations of this book, and it exceeded them. I love everything about it. Thick paper, ribbon bookmark, pen holder, pocket, the exact cross page layout I wanted (for privacy and plentiful space for notes), AND the perfect privacy guard sheet designed specifically for this book with coordinating entry markers.If the style meets your notary needs, then don't hesitate. It's a gorgeous book and you'll love it.Am I maybe a little too enthusiastic about this journal? Yeah. But this is a real review with no incentive for a really great product that deserves to sell when so many items we buy turn out to have poor quality. It was also extremely well packed in a bubble sleeve and nice box so it is gift ready if you have a loved one that is ready for their next notary journal.

It came packaged in a box already protected by bubble wrap. The attention to delivering a quality product is noticeable.My first impression was that the suede texture was nice. The magnetic closure is a plus, the paper used for the pages isn't cheap/thin, the ribbon bookmark appears secure, and the laminated privacy sheet is such a good idea (I've always just used two sheets of blank paper, not exactly a polished look so this is an upgrade as well). The pocket at the back is large enough to store the privacy sheet but not too much else (though this is to be expected).I will need to find a thinner pen for the holder -- which isn't exactly small, but I would hate to stretch it out prematurely since this is such a nice journal.

Nicely made, professional looking, quality paper. I like how it lays flat when opened, & the security page cover is good.
