I have wood floors (actually, wide pine) which, for years, I basically left exposed with the exception of a few small area rugs. However, my elderly dog has had trouble the past couple of years keeping his footing on the wood so I've added more carpets. Most of these are low-pile rugs with a rubber backing (thank god, shag carpeting went out with bell bottoms). I quickly learned that powerful vacuum cleaners do not work well on these (the rugs get picked up by the machine). At first, I tried the old-style mechanical sweeper which really didn't pick up pet hair very well. Then I tried a battery-powered vacuum cleaner which did a better job (in spite of being promoted as 'high-powered,' the one I have has much less suction than my corded vac and also has a low setting which works well on the carpets).Still, it seemed like I could do better. That's where this 'carpet rake' comes in. At first, I tried using it as a push broom. That really doesn't work but, using it like a yard rake provided excellent results (I should have know based on the name). Of course, you end up with a pile of hair and other small debris at the edge of the rug. You can simply pick up the hair or resort to an old style dusk pan to collect the other dirt. I'm pretty pleased with this carpet rake.

I absolutely LOVE this rubber broom and will never be able to look at my old broom the same way again! It is one of the single best brooms I've used on my floors and gets my floors so clean.There are 2 side to this broom- a smooth, squeegee type side and a rubber bristle side. Both sides are amazing at removing dirt, hair, and other debris. The squeegee side is amazing for removing excess water and/or dust from tile, linoleum, wood, and laminate floors. We have everything in our house, and this works on it all.I have super long, thick, hair, and I shed worse than a dog. Lol With my old brooms it didn't matter how many times I swept (or even mopped) there was always hair left behind. We live in a rural area too with a gravel drive. Between my kids, and our pets going in and out, our front entry always seems to have a dusty layer to it, even right after I finished sweeping. Now, I seriously just run this broom over it once, and the floors are completely dust, dirt, and hair free! My socks aren't picking up dirt walking across the floor anymore.Seriously I'm way more happy with this broom than I thought I would be. If you are experiencing one or more of the struggles that I was having, with my floors, then I highly recommend giving this broom a try.

I have a dog that sheds as much as four dogs so I bought this broom to fight the never ending battle against dog hair. I don't find it to be very effective. The bristles are too flexible to really get in there and so it just sort of glides across the rug. On the other hand, it has a squeegee side that works well on windows.

We tried this on our carpet for our dog hair and it didn't really pick anything up. I suspect some of that might be that our terriers have stiff, coarse hair which comes up pretty easy with our vacuum rather than most dogs that have fur which clings to carpet a lot more and would probably stick to the silicone-like bristles better.The tool is pretty grippy though and I could see this being really handy in a carpeted craft or sewing room. Thread, fabric scraps, buttons, and that kind of thing that could mess up your vacuum or get stuck in the brush. But we don't really do that kind of crafting very often so I don't think this is going to be a tool for us.

This is one of those little miracle brooms that gets up pet hair from your carpet that you can’t see. All you have to do is assemble it and sweep away. The handle is perfectly made so that you don’t hurt your back when using it. Super easy to clean by rinsing off the rubber knobs on the broom. It seems like it will hold up through many many many uses.

I use this product on my carpet floor, we have 2 dogs so I was hoping this gets rid of dog fur better than vacuum.The squeegee part works ok, it does collect some fur.The other brush side did not work at all, I’m not sure what it is supposed to work on.It is easy to build, easy to use, you can adjust the length of the broom. It seems pretty sturdy, the color and design seems nice.

I wanted a carpet rake to lift up wear patterns in the carpet. This was exactly what I needed. The handle seems a bit wobbly but to be expected with a three piece screw in handle. Can always replace with a broom handle if it breaks. Bonus was it was delivered faster than estimated.
