Plus: all-in-one clock with alarm, radio, CD player, USB charging port (mini-charger included)Minus: sound. It's hard to get good balance between treble and bass. This product has excellent treble, but average-minus bass.Verdict: a good product for the price.

I have an old Emerson that has been great, but this one does not work. You cannot even set the time. We tried for two days. I do not recommend.

I've started listening to audio books on CD. And there is a little glitch. I'm not sure what causes it but every so often it 'drops' out the speech. I THINK it is when it changes tracks, i took the CD to my car and it does not happen. So i'm thinking that it might not affect listening to music, but i didn't check that out. Also there is a learning curve with setting the alarm, but once you've figured it out it pretty easy to use.

To change modes and edit the settings isn't exactly easy but after it is set I do not change anything. It is still the GREATEST to wake up to one of my CDs instead of a buzzer or bell.

While this plays CDs with a decent sound, and has the capability for two alarms that are enough to wake me up, there are some deficiencies that can't be overlooked.* Once a CD is done playing, the machine doesn't time out of play mode and return to displaying the clock.* It doesn't know how to play enhanced CDs (you know, ones with extras that you can access on a PC). This is 30 year old technology, there's no excuse to not be able to read them.* It inserts a second-long pause between tracks, which is annoying when you expect one song to flow right into the next.* Clock runs fast.* And now, like another reviewer mentioned, part of the minutes digit is fading, and the machine buzzes when on high intensity display. This has only lasted 9 months for me. Save your money and buy a different device.
