This bar is a pretty sweet deal. I use to have one of these bars when I was younger. Now, at the age of 33 and at a desk job for the past two years, I recommend one of these. I did order one of the fancy pullup bars with all sorts of various grips, and despite my door frame meeting the specifications of this bar, the bar did not fit. The j/fit Doorway Pull-Up Bar can quite literally fit any door and is easy to install with a level and measuring tape.My only concern, and just for safety reasons, I didn't use the screws provided with the bar. It's important to know the construction of the door your hanging the bar on. My house is old and is build with plaster and lathe. The doorway where I put the bar has a good 1/2" of plaster, so the provided screws would not have been sufficient. Even if the door jam had wood right from the get-go, the screws provided could be beefed up a little. It's unlikely the bar would slip between the grip of the screws and the pressure the bar provides once it's tightened, but I'd rather play the safe card here. For an extra buck for six screws, I'd rather feel safe even if the longer screws provide nothing in addition. But, my situation is unique insofar as my door jam has plaster as the first material and not wood like most doors.Otherwise, save yourself the $50.00 on some of these ridiculous pullup bars, they all do the same thing, the others are just over complicated, unnecessary, and not worth the value they provide. This j/fit Deluxe Doorway Pull-Up Bar is easy to install, provides the same function as other pullup equipment for 1/2 the cost, and can literally fit "any" doorway as long as the doorway is within the measurements as provided in this products description. Thanks for a great American made product!

I’m Using this primarily for pull-ups. I’m a 6 foot 3 tall guy. I weigh 230 pounds and it hold my weight just fine.It doesn’t bend either my weight it’s plenty strong. The pads that come with it aren’t the best of quality but do the trick just fine. It extends to 40 inches max exactly like it states it does. I was concerned it wouldn’t. Some advice add longer phillps head screws so it will be strong into the studs in the door way because the screws that come with it are not long give it some more strength. For the money it’s plenty good enough for me. I recommend this product for someone that is looking to do some pull-ups that doesn’t want to spend much money to do them.

It holds in place and is very sturdy. Feels safe to use. Worth the money. However, the bar tends to rotate slightly every time I grab hold for a new rep, even with the grips. You fit the bar into a set of wall brackets by rotating it counterclockwise until it wides and fits snugly in the brackets. My concern is that with every turn, it applies more and more pressure against the retaining wall.

Honestly this chin-up bar is really good. Didn’t fail to disappoint and its cost as well as function is fairly exceptional. It helps with workouts and its size helps to adjust it to the size of your doorframe. It was easy to assemble as long as you have the right materials to do it and can find an assembly video on YouTube. Overall, this pull up bar is 10/10 in functionality, assembly and usability.

All of the pieces look to be of excellent quality. I installed the frame cups and inserted the bar in 20 minutes from start to finish. Was surprised how difficult it is to hold oneself on the bar even before considering a pull up !

There’s a small entryway when you first walk in my bedroom. I wanted to hang a pull up bar there so I can work out in private. The specific location I wanted to install it didn’t have studs so I had to get 2 1x6 boards, cut them into squares and use 4 toggle bolts on each board to attach it directly to drywall. It’s extremely sturdy. Side note: don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t hang heavy things on pure drywall. I’ve done it for numerous things in my house. You just need to know how to disperse the weight.Anyway, I was a bit skeptical at first with how small the screws were for the mounting brackets but they held up very well after screwing them into the wooden boards. I’m not a light person and the bar holds my weight just fine. And it’s definitely more secure than the ones that use tension to keep it secure. Those pull up bars are prone to slipping off the wall so I would avoid those.Only two cons I can think of is, 1st, you have to adjust the bar so that it gets really jammed into the mounting brackets or else the bar will twist when you try to hang or do anything with it. 2nd, this is no big deal but I’m just putting it out there for anyone who cares. The “JFit†logo on the grip cushions is almost completely worn away after only hanging from it 5 times. All in all, a very good, sturdy product. The price is in the “cheap†territory so I thought the quality would reflect it but I would easily buy it for 10 or 15 dollars more.

This bar is easy to setup, and comes with fittings for both chin ups and pull ups. Please note that you won't be able to use this product without screwing the fittings into the door frame. The screws are small, but you will need a drill to put them in.My only complaint is the grips are velcro straps, so, if they aren't positioned well, they can hurt your hands. With that said, the grips are soft and pretty good quality, so if they are positioned correctly, are very nice to use.It supports me very easily, and I am a 75 kilo male.Great buy for the money.TLDR;Pros - InexpensiveGood qualityBuilt to lastCons- Grips can be finickyWill have to drill holes into your door frame.

So there's a saturated market of pullup bars out there, and each one seems to be getting more expensive than the last. This only costs about USD 25 and I did not expect much. Was completely blown away by the quality, the metal is sturdy, there is very little wobble and zero bending once secured. I did not need to use the screws and the rubber friction is holding the bar up just fine. But I'm on the lighter side, so if you're heavier please do install the safety screws on the side. Also, make sure you do your pullups on the side that tightens the bar.
