Was replacing the deck boarding, and noticed that the only places that were rot was between double joists, e.g., where two boards were nailed together. So the idea of covering the seams between the boards to prevent water penetration makes sense to me. Not possible to determine whether the tape will actually hold up and prevent water from getting between boards, but the application was easy, the tape stuck on its own for a number of days before I was able to get it all covered up with boards, and the pricing and delivery was great. So from what I can tell, all is good for now.

Love using this product! It really works well on the floor joints. Looks nice when doing a composite deck where you don’t see the treated lumber through the deck spaces. Just wish they would put a starter tab on the beginning of the role.

Tape at the big box stores got do expensive that I decided to try this to save money. It does not stick quite as well as high end tape but the stick was adequate. It was easy to apply and appears to provide good protection. It is almost as good as high end tape at half the price so I highly recommend it and will use it going forward.

I'm building a 1800+ sqft deck, so I've got LOTS of joists (66) and bridging to deal with. I went through a lot of frustration covering the beams with tape, so I was hoping not to be dealing with backing that shreds when you try to pull it off. This tape rocks! It's easy to peel a corner and the backing came off in one piece on the first 30 runs. My contractor needs me to give him a starting run of just 2' (long story). I was able to cut 30 two foot sections and it took me less than three "picks" at each corner to release the backing. It sticks to the wood but still gives you a few tries to reposition (not after you apply pressure though). The only downside is that it takes multiple tears to remove the label. I didn't dock them a point for this, but I've got 6" tape from a different supplier and the labels come off in one easy piece.

Great value! I used this on top of my joists when I redid my deck - too soon to gauge durability, but this stuff was gummy as I drove screws in it. Seems good for waterproofing, and I find uses for the extra roll I have.

It was less expensive than buying at the local store and worked well. At time it was a bit difficult taking the plastic off, but otherwise good purchase decision.

Good stuff. Very sticky. Only reason for 4 star instead of 5 is because the plastic backing is hard to start peeling and kept splitting as we were pulling it off.

Very easy to apply and sticks well. Price was right and I had just enough to cover every joist, beam, and stair structure on my 14 x 17 deck.
