I’ve come to a realization that I’m obsessed with Joseph & Joseph products. It started with the garlic press with the built in scraper and now this!! THIS zester.. *chefs kiss* amazing!! It’s a good size not too big not too small. Great quality! And on the back it’s got a sliding scraper to collect all the zested goodness. You don’t have to use your fingers or a spoon to collect the zest. It’s very easy to clean and also comes with a cover so you don’t zest your fingers while looking for it in your drawers. Great for ginger and lemons!

This is the best zester I have ever owned. Easy to use and works perfectly. I was so happy with it, I purchased as a gift for others. Not cumbersome so it fits nicely in your gadget draw/container. I love the slide that pushes all the zest down and into your recipe. Very easy to clean, slide comes out and goes back in with ease. This is a must have tool for cooks.

It wasn't until this year that I realized that zesting is a thing. We already had a zester/microplane at home (which I didn't buy) but I wanted to find a nicer and higher quality one. I think this Joseph Joseph 2-in-1 zester is great for zesting.If you don't know, "zesting" is removing the outer layer of skin from a citrus fruit; this grated layer can be added to foods or drinks for flavoring. Who knew? I didn't know, at least until I was making Lemon Cakes for my Game of Thrones viewing party (Also, I can see why Sansa loves Lemon Cakes). You can use it to zest lemons for Lemon Cakes, oranges for Orange Dreamsicle ice cream, or even garlic, for those that don't like to mince.Compared to the zester we already own, this one is better because of three factors: 1) The long length makes it faster to zest because you can zest with one long hand motion versus smaller hand movements. 2) The wiper on the back will wipe off any extra skin stuck to it that you might've missed without risk of cutting your fingers. 3) This also comes with a handy plastic cover that covers the blade while in storage. It doesn't take up any more space to have it, and it protects you or your children from its sharp edges.As always, Joseph Joseph continues to make sensible designs in their kitchen housewares. This is a handy tool to have in your kitchen. Recommended.

What sets this little zester apart for me are two things: the sliding piece that gathers the zest at the end so it falls nicely and easily into/onto whatever you're using to capture it. In other words, I don't have to bang it on the side of the bowl or use my hands to wipe the zest off. The second I like is the plastic cover that slides on easily. And it's the perfect size to fit into my drawer... not too big, not too heavy. It really is perfect. For $11.98, it's a great purchase!

It’s definitely better than my old one which put my fingers in peril whenever I used it. The cover for it is awesome too so you don’t snag anything or get injured looking for it in a drawer full of kitchen utensils. Took a star off because, while I love the little do hickey that you slide down to gather all the zest, it usually falls off at the end.

Bought this zested a long time (years) ago at a discount store. Decided to take it to our vacation home, so we needed a new one and bought exactly the same again. This zester works well for both cheese grating as well as zesting citrus. Also used it for filing down cake & chocolate. Like the way the cover can be used for a temporary container and it has a sliding, half-moon shaped piece on the back to clean the shavings off the blade.

I don’t know how I went so long without this one! Sharp grater, but does get down to the pith. The wiper helps to clear all the zest from it and makes it easier to clean. I hated my micro plane ester because the rind got stuck.

A very good choice for quick fine grating and zesting. And I like the attached mini scraper that cleans all the grated stuff off the grater so I don’t have to hit it on the side of the bowl or plate to get everything off. Very pleased with my purchase.
