We replaced carpet with LVP flooring but didn’t want to drill anything into the floor. We have heavy 8’ tall, 4’ wide bypass closet doors. I don’t like the look of the cheaper plastic floor guides that I typically see for these applications. I decided to try these nicer looking barn door style guides and MacGyver them to work how I needed, without floor damage. So I used the name brand clear removable strips that are also used for wall hooks and artwork (not sure I can say the brand here). It’s only been 24 hours, and I had to wait a couple hours for the adhesive to fully stick, but so far they’re working really well.I put felt pads on each side of the guides to prevent any marks on the doors.This comes as a 2-pack, but I ended up using 1 1/2 for this application. For 1 set of bypass doors, I used 2 of the larger pieces and 1 smaller piece (leaving 1 smaller piece and all screws unused). The large pieces are in the front & back, with the smaller piece in between the doors with a felt pad on both sides.Highly recommended.

Simple install. Adjustable. Coated metal, not plastic. Floor mount so good to use where you're faced with uneven casings to attach too.I've used the roller type but they attach to the casing usually and that can you call be irregular surface.

I have a sliding door that has a trim piece on the trailing edge that mates up with a trim piece on the door frame to seal the door. Due to the tight spacing I'm not able to mount a door guide to the wall. This floor mounted guide was perfect for my situation. I ended up putting a 1/4" shim under the guide to increase the height slightly. The slotted holes in the bottom guide which allow some adjustment after attaching to the concrete floor with a concrete screw makes this easier to install. You don't have to get it installed precisely.

I used to have carpet and then we convert to LVP. The issue I then faced was the drop in height from the carpet and that I couldn't use the ugly guides for the sliding closet doors. I tried a couple of different guides on Amazon and arrived at these. These made the install process way easier. The issue with others is that in order to screw the 2nd guide, you would literally need to take the door the rails. Issue with that is, you can't get the door back on the rails.What is nice about these guides is that you can keep installing them while the sliding closet doors are on the rails. It is so much easier!
