I utilized this camera mount for a project recently. It worked great in that it came with a mount I could use for holding a projector up, it is sturdy, and it holds up well. It is pretty customizable for various sizes as you can adjust how many bars you use for the sides and the top bar. It comes with a little tool to tighten set screws to better hold the pieces together but you just need to initially screw them in as one end is setup to accept the other.I do wish it was easier to purchase additional bars to further customize if you're making it wider. In addition the clamp mechanism while it works rather well can be difficult to utilize on some tables. I printed out 3D printed shims to use to attach to a table more securely for this case but for many tables it works well just as is.

This rig has transformed my desk. I have an overhead camera, 2 Elgato Key Light Air, and 2 Klipsch Pro Media speakers mounted to it.Having all of those things and their associated mounts removed from my desk has left me with an amazing amount of open space on my desk!It is very sturdy as well. Sure, it has a little wobble if you intentionally shove your desk. But from regular typing and mouse movements, it doesn't have any perceivable wobble.

Most solutions like this a year ago would have costed way more so I was happy to see the price on this. It worked perfectly mounting it to an uplift desk and cleaned up a ton of other mounts I had on the desk which helped make it clutter free. Highly recommend but I would buy a few more ulanzi grips at the same time if you are shifting from other desk mounts to this as you will need some clamps now.

This is a really nice camera mount rig, but the screw handles are too large, and depending on the type of table it is being mounted to, the handles can get in the way and prevent you from mounting near the end of a table. This problem could have been prevented if they had used a round screw on handle.

I've worked from home for almost 20 years now. Prior to ordering this, I had about six different arms attached to my desk--it felt claustrophobic. I wasn't sure if I would like this setup but I wanted to try it as I was getting so tired of all the different arms.I wish I had found this sooner! My desk feels so much more open and I have more flexibility as to where I put my different devices. It is very sturdy and it's easy to attach and move smaller arms all around it. I HIGHLY recommend this!

I needed to take some pictures of products for my shop and this overhead frame provides the perfect way to get directly above them while mounting lights for proper photography and videography. It's made well, quite sturdy, and you can't go wrong if you need to get above small objects for perfect images.

I've been searching for a way to convert my vintage printed patterns into a digital format for a long time. The pattern paper is too delicate to run through a large-format scanner, and nothing else I tried was practical. I found this neat rig, got the camera mount, and took straight photos of the pattern pieces on my sewing table. I still had do do some editing of the photos to correct the lens distortion, but it was a far cry better than anything else I'd tried, and resulted in a usable pattern that I could scale down or project from a projector. Now I just need to get the little lights to light the surface more evenly.Tip to anyone else who wants to use this for getting patterns into digital format: take a control photo of your gridded cutting mat on the table first, then shoot the pattern pieces on top of that without moving the mat or the camera. If you use Photoshop or similar programs, you can use that first photo as your control from which you correct size or distortion. Any changes you make to the control photo, make to all the others exactly. Make sure to take a new control photo for each session; gravity will make your camera's position shift even if you leave it in the mount and tighten everything.I'm very happy with this item, it's provided to a solution to a long-standing problem.

Under 6 months the locking mechanism to fix the camera in place gave way and wont work anymore. I barely used it.

This is genuinely one of the best purchased I've made in a VERY long time.I was worried the kit wouldn't fit my desk (IKEA Bekant 43"), but it did. - I used all the rods, but that's only because I wanted my top-down camera to be a little higher, I could have spared a couple, which is crazy to me.It's very sturdy, and was really easy to setup. The clamp it comes with is very strong, and is holding a mirrorless camera without any issues. It'll only be as sturdy as your desk though, so make sure you're on a level surface or you will get some shake. - that being said, no issues here and I'm very happy with the end result. This will help increase my workflow so so much, and was such a good investment.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the sturdiness and flexibility of this product, especially considering the price. It's an excellent value for a table overhead camera mount. I absolutely love it. I had 2 and assembled 1 huge one for my studio downstairs and another smaller rig for a smaller desk in my office.

I'm a full-time fine artist and illustrator, who's started to table more often at public events this year.I use these for my table displays when selling my art at conventions and markets, etc. to display my prints and stickers.I started with a cube-grid display, which was great, but very heavy, and super time-consuming, so I pivoted to these last month, and it's been a game changer already. The Good:* Very sturdy.Doesn't wobble, bow under it's own weight, or threaten to collapse as a 5' tall rig (my first attempt with the cheaper NEER version was a disaster).* Easy to set up alone.I often set it up on a 6'x2' table (4 sets needed for my display), and it's nowhere near as dificult or time consuming as my first load-out.* Quite light-weight, so it's very manageable for me to transport when I'm tabling solo.* Good accessories/grip designThe clamp for camera mount is really great (I use it on another set I have set up in studio over my drafting table to film process vids). It stays put, and I'm never nervous about it sliding or giving out when my camera is attached. Also, the brackets fo the cross-pole are wonderful, and hold on tight with minimal torquing, so I'm never worried about stripping the screws just to make it stay put. They also easily support the weight of my print display, and don't slide or shift at all.The "bad" / warning:* Tiny bits easy to lose, may be hard to replaceThe little lock-screw things to secure the poles in place after they've been screwed together are very easy to accidentally spin right out of the pole and lose. No replacements are provided, and I've been unsuccessful so far finding options (for the inevitable event I lose them) :(Admittedly, this is only really a factor if you're using this stand the way I am (setting it up and taking it down multiple times in different places) - if you're looking to set it up in a studio space or something similar, it isn't as much of an issue.* No carry-case included.Again, more a me problem in using it as a portable display, instead of a more studio-based approach.*Price for additional polesThis one is a bit of a sore spot - two extra pole sections (purchased separately) are nearly HALF the cost of the entire rig, with the clamps, brackets and so on included (at the time of this review, they're $55cad before tax, etc).Which really sucks, honestly - I don't understand that bit at all, and it feels a bit predatory :(Overall, the quality is wonderful, and this setup will likely last me a good long while, but the lock-screw situation, and the weirdly prohibitive cost of additional pole sections may give some people pause.
