They are easily “locked on†and easily removed. There are wheel locks to prevent rolling. Having a minimum of 2 C-stands for photography or filming are invaluable. If you have plenty of storage, I’d aim at six. Start with 2, and see how your storage situation works. Also, by doing 2 at a time, you’ll see if YOU need 2, 4, or 6…and buy as you go, making your dollars stretch. I have limited storage, so “for today†I’m sticking with 2.

Great for photography/ minimal setups. Wouldn’t use these as a filmmaker. Maybe for small scale content shoots (small lights/ aks mounted to stand, etc). I bought these to replace one I broke. It was incredibly difficult to remove from stand, even with a flathead. The plastic is super sensitive.

Tried on two different brand c stands I have in studio. Not sure if it’s a leveling issue as the instructions are pretty simple . One wheel binds up causing it to not roll smoothly or pulls. It’s feels like a safety issues if it get bind up while rolling with a load.
