I was skeptical about ordering this key as it would need to be programmed for my car. But I rolled the dice and I am so pleased. I found a vehicle locksmith to cut and program the key and fob. He to was skeptical as he had seen many online key purchases to be the wrong type. It worked like a charm. Thank you. I know have a second key for emergency purposes and that makes me feel relieved!!

This worked well for my 2012 Civic just like the description called out. Well done,The Honda dealer mechanic warned me that many aftermarket keys do not work with programming , but this did work! Thank you. Just Do your research and make sure your car is listed in the description and check that the batteries are good. There should be a red LED come on when you press a button.

1. After a week of use, the key broke from the fob.2. The key is NOT self programmable.Took me 2 or 3 weeks to save the money to get key cut and programmed.Key inside the case is held together by a selection of small Lego like plastic blocks. Obviously they failed. Now I'm out 150 dollars for cut and programming.Just go to the dealer and pay what they want. You'll get a quality key that don't fall apart after a week of use.
