I didn't want to get a grinder tool for some short jobs, so got this to attach to my drill. Was able to assemble and mount a 3/4" wheel easily. It worked fine,

Not worth the effort.The item appears to be well made and in theory should work. However, when I installed a 4 inch cut off wheel and ran my Porter Cable 1/2 inch battery drill in reverse, per the instructions, it disassembled when the wheel met resistance. I couldn't finish cutting through a 1/4 inch rod. I tried at least 6 times then gave up and returned it. Maybe the drill didn't turn fast enough, but my combo did not work.

Sort ofThis does, technically, get the job done.BUT... it falls apart, all the time.Due to the simple nature of how tools work, I tighten this on so tight I bent the tools that came with it, and after a couple minutes of use, it just unscrews itself.Extremely annoying, it needs some type of lock washer or something to help.

I will start by saying I did return. I bought this as I didn't want to to buy a new grinder at the time (burned the motor out) so, with this tool, I was able to attach cut wheels to my drills. However, once I got this tool, I looked at my grinder and realized that the grinder has the same thing. I took apart the grinder, removed the part and returned this item.With that being said, this tool is great and will do the job.

First, I'm a big fan of Keyfit products and have always been very satisfied with their quality, performance and durability; this product is no different! The Keyfit Tools U.S.A. Drill Adapter for 3/8" 5/8" & 7/8" Arbor Grinding Discs & Abrasive Cut Off Wheels works perfect to convert a drill to utilize discs and wheels used on other machines. This is most helpful when needing to work where extended use is needed on odd curvatures or reaching into tight spots. Also, using discs and wheels with a drill can be safer due to its slower speeds and lower torque. I've tried numerous adapters over the years and none have been as sturdy and useful as this one. It's much stronger and more durable than the others I've used and it holds in a drill chuck much better. It's much more versatile than the others I've used in the past. Once again, I'm extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of a Keyfit product and I definitely consider the Keyfit Tools U.S.A. Drill Adapter an outstanding value!
