Serves the purpose of keeping people out my office. The audible is very low so it doesn't wake anyone up late-night going in and out. The way it works, no there's no lock on the inside. Set your pass code. When you close it going inside the room, it locks itself. There's no need for an inside latch. It literally locks its self. If you want it to be a passable entrance from both sides going in and out, you enter a very simple code and its unlocked. If I want to work in my office, I set my code and the door locks within 5 seconds (basically enough time to close it). It can now open from inside if I want to leave, just turn the knob. It will then give you 5 more seconds. I'm now outside, it locks behind me. Easy.If you want to be able to pass in and out without entering a code, ok...enter a 1 time code. The lock is now off. Pass through as you need.Ready to lock it..ok...set the code. It now locks. Enter code, walk in room, close the door, its now locked behind you. Again, no need for a latch inside, turn the knob, it will open from the inside, walk out, close the door...its locked.I felt the need to explain because there was someone here who was disappointed there's no inside latch. Well you dont need it.Oh yea, the matte black finish is beautiful

Love that I don’t have to use a key anymore. Dislike that the keypad is finicky on taking the code. If your fingers are cold it doesn’t always accept the code. The doorknob is perfectly round so if you have lotion on your hands, good luck opening the knob before it locks back on you and then you have to enter the code once more. The company would do well to upgrade to have a finger print option and make the knob not so perfectly round. It is a solid product.

I've only had it a couple weeks now but it's working as described and I haven't had any issues. I used it on my office door in my home. The hole for the door knob had to be bored out just slightly to fit this lock, probably just about a mm, I used a rough file. The door knob was just too tight of a fit and couldn't get it all the way in. Other than that the install was easy and easy to set up my PIN to unlock. Like all the feature and that it locks automatically within a few seconds so you don't have to remember to lock it when you leave just pull the door shut. I would recommend this lock over others I've looked at. Will update should anything change.

This is a pretty good lock for the price.Pros: Easy to install Lock and handle all in one, only need one hole Looks niceCon: Not as solid as high end locksWould be best suited for doors that are not protecting high value items, like a shed or interior room you want locked off. I don’t think I would trust it on the front door of my house.

The keyless entry door lock from Hidalife makes it easy to control who comes into your home without having to worry about carrying keys around all the time. It allows you to provide temporary access to housekeepers, your amazon delivery driver, friends watching your house while you are on holiday etc. While it does not have the code capacity like others on the market do, this one is only capable of 9 user codes it is still enough for you that it should not be a problem. With the anti-peep function you do not have to worry about people watching you put in your code. You can enter up to 40 numbers as long as your code is in the 40 numbers and surrounded by wrong numbers in front and behind the correct code the door will unlock. People can remember 6 to 9 numbers easily but if you are putting in a 15 or 20 digit code they would have a hard time remembering it all. thus keeping your home safe. The lock with backlight keypad also features a low battery alarm, I find most batteries will last a year, a mute mode, a passage mode and a 5 second auto lock function. It is powered by 4 AAA batteries I am impressed overall by the functionality, the quality of materials used for the lock and the multi function capabilities especially the privacy function and therefore recommend this lock for anyone looking for a keyless entry lock.

This door lock installs into most standard doors. There is a template in case the door is a blank. All the hardware is included such as the hardware, latch and strike plate. The lock feels nice and solid. However the keyed lock is rather easy to pick. There are no security pins within the lock. It's also easy to bump open, but what isn't these days.This lock uses a motorized actuator for its locking mechanics. This gives an advantage to the solenoid style as it is not easily defeated by a strong magnet. The drawback to this is battery life is slightly decreased.The lock is easy to program. The instructions are very straight forward as it highlights how to change and set the programming codes, user codes etc...Once installed, the lock looks right at home. The lighted keypad makes it easy to enter your code in dim lighting. This keypad is a capacitive touch pad. I find the sensitivity to be pretty good with no missed presses. A good feature about this keypad is that you can "disguise" your code meaning you can hide your code from anyone trying to take a peek from behind by pressing a bunch of random buttons. As long as you bury your code within those random button presses, it will register as the correct code.Overall, the build quality of this lock is pretty good. The lock feels solid and so far has served my purpose in locking an interior door.

This is a decent door knob for an outside door. I like the keyless entry and also the option to use keys as well. The auto lock feature is very much appreciated! i also like that it is visible at night. It takes a lot of batteries, but so far, they have been lasting a while and I haven't had any trouble.
