My attached garage did not have a smoke detector in it so I got this one specifically as it's battery powered. We will see how long the installed batteries last, from what I've seen in searching (not specifically for this model), says about a year. Nice and compact though that wasn't a needed feature for me.Tested it with a fireplace match, watched the smoke go in and nothing. Just about the time I thought I had a bum unit it went off. Note, you need to hit the red flashing light on the front to silence it, it doesn't appear to go off on its own once the smoke source is removed. You can easily hear it in the house though it might not wake me up.Package comes complete with mounting screws and dry wall anchors.

I am happy with this purchase. Perfect for our guest bedroom. Small and looks nice on the wall. I like the fact that it does not use the expensive square batteries.

These used to replace the original alarms in our Airstream travel trailer. Ordered for the compact design. Easy to install and they look good and the smaller form is more appealing for the smaller space. They work well and have gone off due to cooking smoke more than once, so they work! Would use them again for this application!

PRO - This is a basic smoke detector without CO2 detection or unnecessary bells and whistles. Bought it to protect the area where I store several 80 Volt lithium battery packs. Uses inexpensive AA batteries. Great to protect area around a clothes dryer.CON - This unit isn’t designed to protect you from potential sources of CO like a furnace or gas water heater.

Perfect little smoke alarm. It went up quickly and easily. It is very well made and is a very reliable brand. I was very happy with the price also. Would purchase again if I need additional alarms.

Had to replace an existing 9-volt smoke detector in an RV. Love this one as it is smaller and only takes two AAA batteries.
