My guess is that some folks are giving this wave/wolfing cap negative reviews bc they don’t know how to use it. I’ll admit I’ve owned it for a few months before I took the time to figure it out. Here’s how I use it:The longer Velcro “wings†should be in back. The top of the black on black one stops the stitching on top before it comes down the front of your forehead (to avoid having that stitch line make an imprint on your skin/forehead or on the waves of really short hair). Wrap the front (shorter) Velcro wings to the back first. Then adjust the overall fit, remove any wrinkles by lightly tugging down the material here and there. Then fold up and then wrap the back Velcro “wings†(longer ones) in front of your forehead/scalp. Then make any minor adjustments as needed. It’s quite stable and you can tweak the compression by overlapping the Velcro straps a little or a lot in front. I wish I had figured this out earlier bc I love it now. I’m writing this answer bc i came here to buy another one and I noticed no one was helping folks know HOW to use the wave/wolfing cap. Any reviews based on anything but the quality of the material should be ignored imo. If the quality is an really an issue I would just stop wearing this at night and exclusively use it during tue morning/day bc it really works. Also, make sure the Velcro straps are folded up so that any exposed Velcro doesn’t scrape against the main scalp material unnecessarily.Best thing I can say is I’m buying it again! To put in my travel bag when I travel for business bc it works better than any other DuRag I’ve ever tried.l for wolfing AND waves.

My husband said this was comfortable. but still slipped off his head during the night, didn't fit as snug as the tie, so we are back to marks on the forehead.

First of all this design of durag is the best. Follow the instructions on the back and you get good compression with no sliding around. It's comfortable to wear compared to using multiple durags to get the same effect. The one thing that needs improvement is the stitching. I have multiple colors of this and they all have loose stitching. Still, after a year and through many washes, they still all held up. Since, these leave no marks, I'm looking at buying some more. I don't mind the loose stitching, but if you wear these out and about just know they will look like they're falling apart. Not the best look for public outings.

The head scarf was small for an adult head made for children's should state that. And the ridges come apart after a few use.

I love this bought this a week ago after wearing my husband. I need something to wrap my hair and hold it in place without sliding off during the night. This did the job.....no complaints this way.

The velcro stuck to my hair and it wasn't comfortable to sleep in - my opinion...

Thought it to be a great idea as I hate to struggle to secure straps around my head. Now I am repairing the hair and this type of durag is for that. Its excellent however it is tricky as it is one size, as your hair grows the straps could be to tight, however Im sure with more wears it shall stretch, no worries would be great as you learn your pattern.
