Easy to install. Changes the sound the engine produces (more of a growl) and increases performance on the freeway. Installed this on my 2003 Pontiac Vibe commuter car and am very happy with the purchase. Have not seen a change plus or minus on my MPG - I like how the car handles and sounds after the intake install. So far have not seen an increase in my fuel economy, nor a decrease - I do not know why I did not order this product earlier. After the install - no error lights - I hooked the battery back up after install and drove it for at least 30 minutes to reset the ECU settings. This made driving fun, I figured I would get it since I commute so much!!Note: Make sure you have a can of Mass Air Flow sensor cleaner handy to clean the MAF before you transfer it to the new Intake.Pros:-Great performance growl when you slam on the gas for take offs (Clean MAF and simplifies intake).-When you rev it - you really hear it sucking in air very impressive to family and friends.-Filter is pre-oiled-All mounting hardware-Says its California CARB certified - no need to remove for a smog check, hopefully.fit no problem on my 2003 Pontiac Vibe - all the hoses connected with ease.-Great K&N stickers were included.Cons:-On a cold startup - like first thing in the morning - A rather loud suction "hissing" sound (only lasts a few minutes).-Instructions were black and white and way zoomed out on the important parts - hooking the hoses back up to the back of the intake. I could not visualize how the PWM vacuum switching valve just slid onto the mounting T-bracket due to the pictures (Glad my friend helped since he did the install before).-It had 2 extra screws - 6mm Button Head Screw, 16mm L. QTY 2 #07730 could not figure out where they would go.I recommend purchase.

Instruction were relatively to install, Induction noise is pretty good.However, this does not come with a heat shield for the air intake and the whole installation gets heat soaked in the summer. In 90+ degree temps the vehicle performance is horribly handicapped. Accelerating from a stop is excruciatingly slow. The induction noise sounds like a lawn mower that's about to die when the grass bag is full. Winter performance is similar to stock intake. After having the intake on for one summer and 2 winters I reinstalled the original intake and summer engine performance is back to normal. Without some sort of thermal shielding you'd only want to install this on your teenagers car in order to slow them down.

The filter was was very easy to install, with very detailed, step-by-step directions. I drive a stock Corolla, so I don't expect any crazy horsepower gains. I do, however, notice that it does seem to have a little more power on take-off, the engine idles much more smoothly, and my idle rate dropped from about 1,100RPM to 600RPM.Pros:slight increase in responsiveness,very easy to install,looks goodCons:when the engine is cold, at idle, you will hear a loud "sucking" sound. I was not aware, but apparently this is normal for this type of intake and vehicle.

I installed following the instructions in the manual, and I could manage without major problems, but to start the vehicle and try to route, I have noticed a huge reduction of power to accelerate, pressing the accelerator revolutions up but does not move forward as it should. Do not know what could be the problemMy car is a 2003 toyota corolla

I bought this for my commuter car. Install was easy but the pictures don't help very much! Had to work out where to put a couple hoses on my own. I guess that's what I get for putting an American product on a Japanning car.

Excellent product, easy to install, came with an installation manual with pictures included, fits perfectly into a 2004 Corolla S, Sounds great. I've attached a picture of my engine after the installation.

After double checking the k&n website, and Amazon. Both confirming that the part would fit in my make model and year, Part arrived and doesn't fit into a 2002 Toyota Corolla. Emailed K&N with the issue, It's been a week and the product manager still hasn't gotten back to me, I want to send the part back but I'm stuck in limbo until I get some answers. It's not that I didn't mind the waste of time, its that it shouldn't have happend in the first place.
