I was tasked to play banjo for my church’s Sunday worship service with just a week’s notice. For rehearsal, the instrument mic just didn’t meet a consistent sound so looked around for something more consistent and came across this pickup and it seemed to fit my needs. Fortunately I was able to get it shipped quickly and installed it the Saturday before and worked flawlessly. The sound on stage was very clear through the monitors and the subsequent recording produced a high quality sound.

This installed in less than two minutes and works beautifully! Put on my 6 string banjo and I play through a stereo rig and it sounds incredible! Fast delivery and great product! Nice to have something work as advertised!

Super easy to install. Bracket hardware looks like it will only work on an open back banjo. But they do provide wire ties for alternative installation.

This is a great pickup for my banjo. Pickup is installed securely and out of the way. No volume adjustment but through your amp or head phone amp. Making sure the wire from the pickup to the jack is not pressing down on the head too much or you might experience some buzzing but over all is a great value and works great

This produces a good strong sound on my banjo. Took off two stars because: (1) it picks up EVERY sound, including your fingers touching the banjo head, and particularly if you touch the cable; (2) it was difficult to fit the pickup onto the bridge of my banjo, because my bridge is a bit thicker than most; and (3) it was also difficult to secure the jack to my banjo, so it wouldn't move around as I played. I had to figure this one out on my own, because the little diagram that comes with it wasn't helpful, nor were the videos I saw on Youtube.

This works great. I've been down nearly every pickup road and this one works for my banjo. You'll need to have a decent equalizer of some type to taylor the sound. Banjo has some crazy frequencies that need to be dialed down in order for it to sound natural. If your amp has a 3 band....bass mid treble......set up, you should have no problem. I was using a 32 band graphic eq and a compressor with fantastic results. A simple preamp will help give you volume headroom and reduce harshness. Banjos are naturally, somewhat harsh. Decent price, easy to install and quality made.

I had this pickup for 6 months and finally just threw it away. It was terribly frustrating trying to keep it on my bridge. It comes with 2 adhesives that work for about 2 months each before they give and it just keeps sliding up and down the bridge touching the strings. For $80 this should work very well, both sound and functionality. Spend the little extra $$ and get something better.

Questo piezo si adatta perfettamente al ponticello di qualunque banjo. Io lo utilizzo regolarmente in ogni live con il mio banjo tenore irlandese 4 corde e funziona benissimo. Unica "pecca": essendo una pinza che si aggrappa al ponticello, le corde vibreranno meno intensamente, per cui abbiate cura di installarlo in prossimità della corda più spessa così le corde più acute non verranno sacrificate come sonorità .A parte questa accortezza, per il resto, per il costo che ha, è un ottimo pickup ed otterrete un suono bello metallico. Lo consiglio a tutti i banjoisti che con un budget limitato vogliono ottenere un suono amplificato interessante.
