Not the cheapest, but quality is first rate. The action is smooth, spring return works well. They are not for cutting big stuff or steel wire, etc. But they do a great job at what they are designed for. The only thing I don't like is that the shape of the jaws is such that there is a gap at the base of the closure, so putting something like stranded wire or paracord deep into the jaws means the cut is not completely clean, the innermost part of the item cannot be reached by the jaws.

This is a side cutter that is much more solid than the cheaper ones. I did buy a set of six side cutter and this one to basically do a comparison. This one has a much better cut, even all the way in on the tool. The cheaper ones do work fine too but the feel of this one gives you an idea of a higher quality tool. If you are in the business of buying a side cutter, go for this before the cheaper ones.

These flush cutters are great for electronic wires, such as stranded or solid copper wire. I would not recommend cutting steel wire with these. These are a joy to use. They cut cleanly and do not leave strands that are uncut. They feel like a precision tool.

I've used so many different brands of flush cutters and they all wear out like a disposable razor. This is one of the best tools I have ever purchased. The cutters line up perfectly and they don't bend or skip. Cutting 12 gauge stranded wire feels like cutting a zip tie. I use these all the time and have abused them; They still look brand new.

Tronex makes some spectacular flush cutters for jewellery, but they're super hard to find, and wildly expensive. Having used both, these are just as good, and are a fraction of the price. Knipex makes great tools, and these snips are no exception. Hardened, comfortable, and make a perfect flush cut, I use these as my go-to snips for jewellery wire.

Compared side by side with the 78 61 125 these 78 61 140 are little bigger, jaws are little longer, stronger spring and bigger cutting capacity. I will use them for work in automation panels, cutting ties flush both metal and plastic.
