These are extremely useful if you need to travel with less-tools* as they are adjustable and work in a “ratcheting†manner. They have alleviated my need for having a large set of open-end/box wrenches that ratchetMany reviews and descriptions talk about them not marring the nut/bolt/fastener, and they haven’t done any damage to items I’ve used them on. But I could imagine that if one was using the pliers-wrench on something made of poor quality metals it might fudge that stuff up.*note about ‘less-tools’This is something that I don’t like to think about, as I love my tools, but you can’t always bring them all with you.

These Pliers Wrenches are awesome. If I need to loosen or tighten a random fastener I almost always grab one of these first and if I need a socket from there, the size markers on the sides of the pliers gives me a good indicator of the size of the fastener and socket I'll need. I intend on buying at least one of these pliers for every one of my vehicles in case of emergency. These are definitely worth the price over Harbor Freight knock offs, especially if you wait for a sale which makes them nearly the same price. I can't recommend these enough.

These are vastly different in design, yet identical in function, to the Crescent adjustable wrench I grew up with. I'm still getting used to these, but they are very effective, wicked cool, innovative, ingenious, and relatively complex while somehow being elegant.Just like toothed plier product that Knipex has developed to compete with Channellock pliers, this Crescent product solves a problem that we never knew we had. We all loved the Channellocks, and the worm gear Crescent adjustable wrench. But these Knipex tools are undoubtedly better, if more costly, and are lighter weight.I sat on the sidelines for a couple of years after learning about the Knipex product line, then one day I bit the bullet. Nice stuff.

Once you get the hang of adjusting it, you'll love this tool. Extremely well made.Many folks say this tool will replace your adjustable wrench. Not true for every application. Most recently I found it great when I needed to put a little more torque on a screw. Using a screwdriver with a square shank I was able to latch on to it while tightening down the screw. You can't get an adjustable wrench to do that. However it's easier to use an adjustable wrench blindly. But you can't pull a nail with an adjustable. Don't be intimidated by the cost. These tools are worth every penny.

I only rarely use channel locks now. I mostly use the two small ones and rarely the largest one. I didn’t think I’d have much use for the small ones, but they are the best. They slip easily into your back pocket. Because they are smooth, they never catch on your clothes. I wish these would have been available decades ago.Definitely a must-have in your tool box, bag, or back pocket.

well built and quality finished wrenchesvery nice addition to my tools and wish that i had picked them up a decade ago since they provide the grip strength yet have a smooth grip surface to avoid damaging nuts and plumbing fixtures during adjustment and installaiton

In Sachen Zangen geht meiner Meinung nach kein Weg an Knippex vorbei.Dieser Zangenschlüsselsatz ist absolut sein Geld wert.Ich benutze dieses Set hauptsächlich um "mal schnell" was zu schrauben ohne lange Suche nach dem richtigen Schlüssel.Sehr bequem :-)
