These dog socks have been great for stopping my dog from constantly licking her paws. She can’t easily take them off on her own, which helps a lot.She did manage to chew off the tightening button on one, but they still stay on well. The best part is that she finally sleeps through the night without waking us up with the licking sound. A useful solution for the problem.

Although, it seemed the large would fit my German Shepard, they didnt. I gave a three star because I do like them and will use them on my sister's smaller breed dog but still on the hunt for something that will work for my GSD.

The look good on my Yorkie, however he can get them off and I find them all over the house.

This was my first time putting shoes on my dog and these were fairly easy to put on and seemed pretty comfortable for my pup!

I’m pretty sure I followed the size chart correctly, but the resulting size turned out to be too small, so I can’t actually test them on my dog. However, from a pair of similar boots I bought, I’ve gained some perspective with which to better assess these.I had in mind to use these socks to keep my dog’s feet warm when out in the cold-snap weather. However, I’ve learned that socks quickly become sodden when in the snow, even extremely cold snow, …so best to use only on dry surfaces, cold or hot.Someone had a great idea to make the elastic retaining band built-in, actually between the sock’s double layer knit. So, theoretically, all you need to do is tug the band when in place, and it cinches up a bit, so you can then use the sliding clamp to fasten it snug. Great idea, but I felt that the band was already too small to allow the foot to easily slide into the sock to begin with. If it had more slack, it seems that would be better. The other thing with the cinch, is that it wasn’t bound in the upper hem of the sock (like a tie string is bound in a swimsuit’s waistband), but rather it could drift down into the sock …which further restricted the opening for foot insertion. My suggestions: make the cinch loop larger, and somehow keep it up at the top rim of the sock. — **Note: I’m saying this on speculation, since I’ve not had the opportunity to actually use then on my dog.Included are also a set of reflective velcro bands. They are not integral to the function of the sock (I don’t thing), so are optional —eg. when walking the dog outside at night. Nice to have when needed. They may also serve as extra binding bands to keep the socks in place.
