I had these switches in mind for a quiet office build based on their specs and what I could deduce from videos. For comparison, I pitted them against wuque studio light tactiles, akko creamy purple pros, and cherry mx hyperglide browns. Now if you've ever seen Milktooths video describing these switches, he called them a refined cherry mx brown, and this couldn't be more true, and in the best ways possible. Now this is no knock on mx browns, I actually love them for scratch builds, but the matchas manage to have a pronounced rounded bump, with the ever so slightest scratchy feel at the top of the bump, the smoothness of a modern switch throughout the rest of the travel, and a uniquely quiet sound signature. You won't get the scratchy sound of a mx brown, but instead a very low tone, muted thump that makes these the perfect switch for quiet builds or an office keyboard. That, coupled with the light tactility but full 4mm travel and what feels to be an extremely light spring makes for a fast, low volume typing experience that can fit a wide variety of uses and situations, while still feeling like an old classic. In comparison to the other switches I mentioned earlier, these switches are quieter then the wuque studio light tactiles, with just as smooth a feel, albeit slightly less scratch, and a softer rounder bump. The creamy purple pros are slightly louder and have a more distinct bump, but shorter overall travel and lighter typing experience. Finally compared to the hyperglide browns, the matchas are lighter and somehow quieter, and of course again, without the scratch. It's a truly enjoyable experience that you begin to love more and more as you type on them. I can't recommend these more, especially given the low price. If you want a quiet switch but don't want to deal with the mushiness and lackluster typing experience of silent switches definitely give these a try.
