The 6-inch bit is the same as the bit that came with my K5 jig. Works fine.Sometimes that bit is too long. Happened to me again today while repairing some drawers. With the 3-inch bit I easily finished installing the screws. I could have used a right-angle head as an adapter but that gets awkward. It's not fast, either. The 3-inch bit was worth the price of both bits.After 3 years i finally had to write this review. Today was not the first time I have been glad I bought these bits. Plan ahead so you are not stranded when you need a short driver bit.This is a very inexpensive gift for a woodworker with a Kreg K4 or K5 jig. Nice Christmas stocking stuffer or Fathers' Day present. Sooner or later they WILL need the short bit. Having a spare long bit is good insurance, too.

I was building a play table and 4 chairs for my granddaughter and after I made a mockup of a chair to visualize how all the pieces fit, I noticed that the 6" #2 square driver that came with the K5 pocket hole jig was not going to fit in some areas once the bit driver was placed in the drive. So I ordered the Kreg 3 & 6" set and it all worked just great. The 3" bit driver made it easy to squeeze the drill into the tight spaces.

If you like using Kreg screws but only have a smaller length Kreg bit, this set is very useful. Long enough to reach any screw on a project and cheap enough to have sitting in your drawer for that time when you find you need the extra length.

Kreg tools fill a unique hole in woodworking tools and that is they create specialty tools that create solutions to difficult tasks. I am a fan because they think outside the box and look for solutions it would seem.This is just one of their simple tools which is two bits made of harden steel and sizes are 3" for tight sots and 6" for easy use. I bought these as a back up as they come with some kits. I ave many of the tools and screws for the systems. These tools always more than meet my expectation.I hate to say it but I do not have many if any complaints about these tools as they are quality built. I recommend all of their toos so do not be shy give them a try. I give these a 4 star because they are nothing fancy but I feel that is a good score for boring old bits.Kreg

While building a shelf for my daughters desk, I found myself in a situation where I needed a shorter driver than the 6" one that came with the Kreg pocket hole system, and the 3" one worked great. Without the 3" one I would have had to pre-drill holes in red oak. But I was able to find this on Amazon one day and had it at the door the next. The bonus is I get a spare 6" driver which will come in handy one day.In the attached photo getting one of the screws was easy enough but when the other long segment is in place a shorter driver was needed.

These bits are a must have if you use the number 2 robertson. They hold very nicely in a drill and also hold screws very tight. High recommend and will purchase again when I need more.
