I thought I might use this jar opener on occasion, but it works so well I have been using it all the time. I have small hands and a bit of arthritis, and was always asking for help with large or difficult jars. Now can open any jar on my own. The jar opener has a twist operation that expands to open a really big jar, much larger than my hand could reach. The gears easily twist down to fit a small jar and twist it open with a minimum of effort. It has multiple functions, including a small bottle opener in the handle. If you have ever found a bottle that has a defective screw top, this thing will easily twist it open. This item is very sturdy too. Excellent value for the price. This would be a great gift too.

This is a very effective jar opener. I have very weak hands, and using this I can open EVERY jar with no difficulty at all. Much better than any other opener I tried (and I tried multiple types). But it is quite large. It is very well made.

This is very handy to have as it does open just about anything with a cap or lid. Love the small bottle opener as a lot of water bottles have small caps and are really hard to open. The only thing that I wish could change going forward is the size of the item. Does take up a lot of room in a utility drawer. Overall, it is a definite must-have for anyone who does not have hand strength and/or wrist issues.

I bought this for my mom who has trouble opening jars. This is her new favorite device. It makes it easy for her to open jars without help. From opening jars, bottles, small items like eye drops, even pull tabs on cans. It's really made a difference for her. It's solid, does exactly what it states it will do. Kuhn Rikon is a quality product.

I like this type of jar opener. I keep one of the condo and at the house. I have bought several of these for friends and they love as well. Great product for the money
