If you are considering this type of tool, this is it.You are welcome, I have already research all of these and this is the best of the best.This is really all metal, unlike the plastic competion. I did not use the adhesive pads, so I can't speak about those.However I mounted it to a doubled rectangular scrap board cut to fit the bottom of this. Using a 1/2 and a 3/4 inch thick scrap of wood. (the depth of the underside of my cabinet dictated this.) So that it sets just under and not quit flush with the bottom of the cabinet, out of site, but very accessible.)Then I slid this up and under, the corner of the caninet (made a easy to reach location in the corner).Then with this already mounted to the board, just ran a few screws up through the scrap boards into the bottom of the kitchen cabinet. Very easy to install and VERY Secure!This tool did pass the magnet test, so I would say this is a nice thick Stainless construction as advertised!And by the way the tool works fantastic! Really great for my arthritic hands!Very easy to open everything, but boxes and child proof pill bottles.

Bought as a gift for my sister, who has difficulty opening jars, priceless. Mounted under kitchen cabinets, does not take up any counter space. Would definitely recommend.

This jar opener has made such a positive improvement in my life! This jar opener mounts to the underside of a cabinet, so I'm never hunting in a drawer for it. It's also incredibly easy to use. I can hold the jar with two hands and it takes very little force to open it. I find it much easier to use than other un-mounted jar openers. It's fully metal and highly durable. I've been able to use it on jars, bottles, and even pill bottles. The little teeth hold on to lids of any size.There are just two caveats to watch out for:1. It assumes a specific turning direction (righty-loosey) so it won't work on any inverted jars2. It won't work on child proof or child locked jars since it only allows for a turning motionOther than those, this has been such a positive addition to my life, I recommend it to anyone who needs a little bit of help with their hand mobility.

My only complaint with this is I have difficulty getting the jar up in place right where the opener is located (because I have a weak shoulder issue)

Researching jar openers, I was looking for something that's simple and long lasting. Decided on this opener because it looked sturdy (all metal) and obviously needs no maintenance. Appears to be shipped from China because it took about 2 weeks to arrive. Unless you have some kind of jar opening emergency, this should be acceptable.The jar opener itself it high "back in the day" quality. Comes with 3 adhesive patches to temporarily hold the plate up while you screw in the 3 screws. The screws are short and just right length for kitchen cabinets. Importantly, they seem to hold up to pressure while opening jars.. or maybe it hasn't been challenged enough yet.. time will tell.If you are looking for a long lasting, low tech jar opener, this is a good choice.

I was a bit skeptical about whether or not this opener would work. I thought it might not grip the top well enough to hold the top as, I twisted the jar. But, thankfully, I was wrong. It works just fine. And, it’s super easy to install. (I also considered a prettier, handheld opener, that cost twice as much as this one. But, I realized hand strength is needed for the hand held unit. ðŸ¤And, at 71, my hands aren’t as strong as they used to be.)

This jar opener is a godsend. I had a similar one for many years but left it behind when I moved. I've struggled to open jars ever since. I found this opener on Amazon and was thrilled. It was delivered promptly and works like a charm. Being made of stainless steel, it's also very sturdy. It was easy to attach to the underside of my upper cabinets.I would highly recommend it.

Love this product. Easy to grip and so easy to use on jars and bottles of all size. Better than the handheld openers that tend to slip.
