The adjustable mechanism locks securely onto lids and caps (and won’t let go!) via a clockwise turn of the front-facing knob. Lids are then released by twisting the opener in the opposite direction. As well as being extremely easy to use, the device is also highly versatile: it will remove any lid or cap between 1 and 3.5 inches in diameter and is suitable for threaded, smooth-sided and grooved jars/caps.

This is an excellent jar opener. With the turn screw knob it clamps on nicely to the lid and I can now open the jar!! Bonus, it does NOT cut up the edges of the cover like many other jar openers do (see lid after shots), then causing a risk of getting cut by the lid. This is a huge plus! I've tried it on pasta sauce jars, juice bottles and even the small cap that comes on milk cartons. Fits all and works extremely well. Huge game changer for me. Highly recommend.

The ones most shown repeatedly do not work on all tops. It is worth the extra price to purchase one that works on all tops. This is my 2nd one after my first one of at least a decade needed replacing. My arthritic fingers love it!

Appears well made. Very easy to use. Used to open small jar, medium jar and large mouth mason jar. So far works well. Better than the older opener i have.

I've been able to open small bottle tops to large jars without breaking a sweat. This is a life saver for people with arithritis

This tool looks weird but works really well. I bought it for someone in their 80s, and they can easily use it to open jars. Definitely worth buying!

getting old and sometimes these darn lids have a mind of their own. this makes opening anything with a screw on lid easy to open. construction is sturdy and it is easy to use. now they just need to figure out how to do this for childproof medicine caps.

Easy to adjust to fit (turn the rotary lever on top). Turn anti-clockwise. Jar open. But don’t forget to hold the jar with your other hand! It’s that easy.The device doesn’t feel or look cheap and cheerful, it seems to be well made and is light but feels that it has durability and strength. Time will tell.It arrived well packed and a day early. We will offer second tool for our daughter as she has to wait until our son-in-law arrives home if she is wanting to open a jar but finds it difficult to open.
