It’s a little hard to use because the instructions are in Japanese, but there are pictures. To get the ink flowing you gotta squeeze it. Then try it out on a scrap paper because the flow can be irregular and it can blot. Once you’ve done that, it’s really great for putting white details on top of your artwork. I like this better than a white gel pen because the line can be thick or thin. Also there’s no scratch down the middle of your line like a gel pen often leaves. And the ink is buildable so if you want less opaque just one layer, for fully opaque you can do more passes until your satisfied.

I like how I can add white highlights to my pieces as needed with a brush stroke quality. So thin and thick lines can be accomplished. The ink was very thick and a little hard to get flowing and I had to wet the brush tip to initiate the flow, which water down the white making it more opaque then I wanted, but still a good pen. For thick white highlights I'd look into a gel pen pen touch in white, but for a light blendable white, this one works well. :)

I use this to help correct inking mistakes on my drawings.

First off, watch the video before purchasing, however the video and description indicates that it's a fine tip brush and it is NOT, it's actually quite a messy plastic brush with no point at all. I have liner paint brushes that are better. The ink is leaking all over the place and it flows out heavily and there is no control. The instructions are all in Japanese, so no way to know how to set the pen up for the ink to flow properly other than a tiny diagram which was no help. Definitely would not purchase again, and to be honest I'm sorry I wasted $8 on this. It's in the trash.

I wish I had read reviews here before buying this. I followed the instructions on activating the brush pen but instead of a smooth ink flow, I get bubbles coming out and not getting on the brush itself. When I try to draw with it, the ink will spill or blob onto the paper. I've never had an issue like this with other brush pens I've used in the past.I like Kuretake products but this one was thoroughly disappointing.

Only with practice did I learn how to use this pen. Here are some examples (photo) of the ways I've used it. I'm very happy with it. I can use it to create a transparency, or for solid marks with high saturation of the white color. I can use it over top of archival ink drawings, and with a lot of care I can use it as a second medium in my watercolor paintings. It's the most versatile White application I have found.

This pen has a soft sponge tip which makes it difficult to use. The white paint comes out in globs and I could not use it at all. Very disappointed.

I like the brush tip and the smoothness of the white ink. I use it for highlights on watercolor paintings and colored pencil drawings

Follow these steps to get your white fude brush pen to work:1. Take off the cap and unscrew the tip from the barrel.2. Remove the yellow ring.3. Screw the tip back onto the barrel. You can hear a slight click.4. Replace the cap and shake the pen a few times.5. Test it on scrap paper until it is as opaque as you like.Enjoy your white brush pen! (And thanks to Jetpens for providing the instructions in English).

Not a fan of this product. Does what it says on the tin but due to the way the ink flows out its prone to dripping and splotting. Went to use it as a highlighter for a pen drawing and ended up with blobs all over the sheet. Perhaps it was my shoddy technical abilities but I believe it was the standard of the brush pen.
