Top of the line e-lock. Although Kwikset is cheaper than Schlage I don’t understand why having Wi-Fi is $70 more expensive than just getting a lock controlled by Bluetooth.I had to have a handyman, do the hardware installation, but the electronic connectivity and set up was very very easy. Looks great. Easy to operate wonderful functionality.

Fantastic Lock with Quick and Easy Installation!I couldn’t be happier with the Kwikset Halo Touchscreen Lock! The installation was incredibly quick and straightforward, even for someone like me who’s not particularly handy. Update from previous review. Not only does this lock have horrible wifi hardware in it, the software is also horrible. It can't understand a long password for the wifi (a standard that's over 2 decades old).The battery life is ridiculously short. And to change the batteries, instead of just sliding the cover off, you have to unscrew two tiny screws (think eye glasses screws) in the housing, which end up getting lost.The fit and finish is also pretty bad. The housing to the lock has a tendency to slip away from the door, leaving a gap between the top of the housing and the interior surface of the door.The noise from this thing is also stupidly loud. My previous Schlage smart lock was so much quieter and had so much better battery life. This thing sounds like an mechanical cow that's dying. Yet another problem this thing experiences is that it "forgets" it's calibration, which means it starts complaining that it's jammed all the time. I have to re-calibrate it about once a month.The latest issue I've encountered is that the auto-lock no longer works. It used to lock automatically after a configurable period of time. Now, it refuses to do so, even though I've set and reset that setting multiple times.All in all, this thing is a huge piece of garbage.Oh, and if you're from Kwikset, don't tell me to call some support number where off-shore people reading from a script will only end up wasting my time. I'm not interested. Just do better.

I like everything about this lock and app. It works exactly as advertised and expected.This is a very slick lock and app! The app work perfectly and the instructions couldn't be too much better. Just follow them to the letter. I love this lock and the app. I was tired of running down to the garage (garage in my case) to make sure it was locked. Now, I get both status and notifications about the lock (locked / unlocked state) It was important to me that ALEXA controls the lock by voice which it does perfectly. I do kind of wish an unlock code (verbal) wasn't "required," but I understand. Anyone could open the garage lock if they simply say, "Alexa, unlock the garage" if they have access to any of your Alexa devices. The code prevents this. I also can't leave it unlocked. The lock automatically (if feature is enabled) locks the lock after a predetermined interval. Anyway, this lock and the app, are just way too slick. Definitely recommend the lock and app if you need (or want) remote lock control for your building or any door for that matter.

A lot to like about this smart lock, but one massive annoying feature.The good:- doesn’t require a smart hub to connect to the Internet- many different ways to provide access the lock (via WiFi, Bluetooth, door code, and key)- it’s compatible with the Kwikset key system, that allowed me to easily rekey the lock to match an existing set of keys- the matte black color looks sharp on my door and Matches existing door hardware- install was relatively easy and straightforward (the hardest part was actually the initial app pairing)The bad:- the software doesn’t seem to be updated often; I guess good if no updates are needed, but I find it hard to believe In the 18 months I’ve owned ot, it hasn’t needed an update.- this thing runs through batteries at a fast pace. I use Duracell and energizer alkaline batteries and need to replace every 2-3 months in warm weather and as frequently as monthly in the winter months. This is with very light use (once a week for our housekeeper and once a week when we go on a family walk and use our front door to enter/exit). Battery life is worst in the winter, where the cold from outside transfers through front door and impacts battery life. I have a feeling with better engineering, they could easily fix this and better insulate the battery compartment. Trying very expensive lithium batteries to see if it makes a difference, and may explore rechargeable batteries after that.Otherwise, I’m happy with the lock - it’s well featured, reliable, and mostly well designed. The app could use more functionality, and battery life is dismal.

Excelente, la recomiendo ampliamente, me fue muy facil instalarla y configurarla que luego resulta muy complicado, en este caso me fue muy sencillo y la cerradura trabaja perfectamente, obviamente como todo este tipo de cerraduras consume las baterÃas con cierta velocidad pero no mas que otras cerraduras electrónicas que he usado mucho mejor que 2 cerraduras Yale que he tenido y ambas dieron problemas en poco tiempo y se consumian las baterÃas a una velocidad increible Gran Cerradura!!!

Compramos esta cerradura por varias razones, una de ellas para conectarse al wifi y poder monitorearla. La aplicación tiene muchas fallas, en ocasiones no quiere abrir, a veces dice que está desbloqueada cuando no es asÃ. No sirve de nada tener la aplicación con tantas fallas.Por otro lado, en dos dÃas la baterÃa se descargó un 20 %, es ilógico porque ni se ha usado tanto, va a salir mas caro reemplazar las pilas a cada rato.En su publicidad decÃa instalación gratuita y no es cierto Kwikset dice no tener convenio con amazon y no cubre ni la garantÃa ni la instalación.

Está excelente, abre y cierra remoto, la app funciona bastante bien. Solo tiene un gran problema que es el ruido, suena bastante fuerte el motor cuando se acciona. La baterÃa le dura al rededor de dos meses. Considerar 4 baterÃas AA cada 2 meses.
