La Bella Has Over 400 Years of String Making Experience

The tradition of string making dates back to the 1640s in Salle, Italy, where the Mari family supplied gut strings to the famous violin builders of Cremona. In 1913, brothers Olinto & Emilio Mari arrived in New York bringing their family craft to the States. Over the years, the brothers shaped the landscape of the string industry with their innovative designs. Every set is manufactured using a perfect combination of traditional methods and latest technologies to produce a superior string.

Just switched from round wounds to flats and wow these are amazing strings. I put them on my 2016 USA Fender P thru-body and they are the perfect length. The sound is full and tight while retaining a good amount of bright crispiness. Finger-wise they feel like silk. No more scritch or torn-up fingers! Will probably never go back to round wound again. I play all kinds of styles from metal to funk, blues and country and everything sounds sweet on these babies. Absolutely recommend.

Bought LaBella’s for my P-bass, and was quite impressed with them. I decided to change my Jazz to flat wounds and thought to try out D'Addario XL Chromes Flat wounds, and they were so much worse. The finish was rough, and the flat wrapping had a sizable gap. Returned them and bought a second set of La Bella’s for my Jazz. These LaBella’s are so much better in quality, sound, fit and finish. The sound is deep and buttery smooth, as is the action/feel.Don’t hesitate, get these strings and never look back.(Oh and another reviewer showed a string breaking after a couple uses, but you cannot use this set for string through bodies.)

Put these on my old bass to replace the original set. Well worth the money! Comfortable to play and beautifully balanced sound across all 4 strings, up and down the fretboard

I'm mostly a guitar player that's had a bass on and off to fool around with and always used roundwound strings. I mostly play with a pick, probably 3/4 pick and 1/4 fingers, no slapping). When I got my new precision bass I wanted to try flats for that classic Motown thump.A few years ago I tried D'Addario Chromes on a stingray I had and I did not like the stiff feel of the Chromes so I was leaning toward's La Bella's low tension flats. After reading a few opinions on the talkbass forum, I decided to try the light gauge. I'm really happy with the results. They're not any stiffer or higher tension than the Rotosound RB45 nickel roundwounds I had on it before. These strings are so smooth it was almost unnerving at first. It's so easy to glide your hand around the fretboard into different positions and there's no squeaking around like rounds. If you're on the fence definitely give these a shot.

When I buy a new bass, I give the installed strings a little play through. But I quickly long for new La Bellas. So, I buy new La Bellas, throw away the old strings, and string up the new strings. They sound great, play like butter, buzz less, and generally just sound great.

These sound great on my ibanez fretless. Slide with ease on these.

When I first put these on my bass 3 years ago I was new to flats and wasn't crazy about them. The La Bellas seemed too bright and I was surprised by that. However, after trying GHS Precision Flats, DR Legends, D'Addario Chromes, and Dunlop Flatwounds I'm 100% sure the La Bellas are what I need to get the classic P-Bass sound (e.g. Sean Hurley, Jamerson, Pino). I can even get a pretty close Paul Jackson tone out of them. Bottom line, these are my personal favorites but to you've got to break them in for awhile. Trust me, it's worth it!!

Dimenticavo, spedizione rapidissima (in pratica il giorno dopo)

No las había usado, sorprendido de su calidad y sonido. Menos tensión al tocar, que con otros calibres que he usado. Recomiendo probarlas.

One string (the A string) is dead. All sing in another way. Replaced the dull string with another flatwound string I had and the problem was nowhere to be seen with that. So obvious, quality on this is bad.Amazon customer service redirects to La Bella. Got in contact with them, and they replied with some questions. I answerd them and then haven't heard anything from them again even though I replied once again to hear how it's going.A company that handles customers like that will only have the first customer once.

Cannot fault these strings at all, fitted to a fretless bass & the sound is amazing, giving a warm deep tone with clear brightness, reminiscent of an upright bass, giving every note clearly and slide fantastically.Fitting these strings makes me wanna play the instrument more & diffently to how I usually approach it,so playability is great.Best strings I have purchased, they are a little more expensive than other flats but nothing comes close to the sound,so for the price I think they are absolutely worth it & most likely last forever. The tension is great & natural. If you are considering these strings I would definitely say go for it,you will not be disappointed A*
