I bought this stabilizer for our new roof (shingles). I didn't want to lean a ladder on the shingle edge and bend/crack the shingle. Bonus, it not only accomplished the leaning part, but it makes the ladder incredibly stable. I'd buy more as need arises.

Looked ok, but sent this back because I decided not to climb the ladder to fix my roof. Too old for that anymore. Hired a helper to do the climbing.

This makes it so much easier to work on gutters because the ladder is not leaning on the gutters. I can't believe that I did not buy this years ago.

I hired two of my grandson's to paint my trim on my home, but I have very tall gables, so it take a TALL extension ladder to reach the top. I was concerned that at that high up (about 20 feet) that it might make that long ladder a bit shaky. I bought this to help steady the ladder while they took turns painting. They both said it was very steady while up at the tallest part. It also was even more effective on the hip portion of my roof as this allowed the ladder to brace up on the shingles without damaging them or having the ladder lean against my gutters.

I wanted to use this to clean rain gutters under a magnolia tree on my manufactured home's aluminum screened room without the ladder leaning on the aluminum gutter and bending and crushing it. I gambled that the legs would be long enough, but they weren't, so I still want to use it, and will get a welding shop to fabricate extensions on the legs. This manufacturer should offer leg extensions, so make sure you check how long you need the legs to be, or be prepared to fabricate extensions.

Good quality but I hoped it would fit on a telescopic ladder. It won’t - but in fairness, they never said it would.I have returned it.
